okay, I already have my spellbinders order made, whew but lifestyle crafts and tim holtz sizzix are kicking my butt. I need to know what everyone's favorites are cause I know I'm going to overlook some dies and then wish I'd ordered them too, lol. So far I just love LC blue sky alphabet and TH clock die. Okay, what is everyone else getting? My CC is ready to go, lol. Vicki

I'm really liking the Whirlpool alphabet! Not sure why...when I first saw it, out of the 4 alphas released, I didn't think I really liked that one. Now, the more I look at it, the more I need it. Maybe because it's totally different from any other alpha???
Like the rings and loop-de-loo borders too. Those are my 3 must haves....

I like too much!!
I like blue sky, whirlpool, and handmade.
I love the diamond border! I like the circle border, and the houndstooth and the scallop borders.
The fry box and the triangle box are interesting too- I will need to see what the Design Team does with them.
It is all so much fun!!!

me too Cindy. I have changed my order so many times now because I want so many, can't make up my mind on what are definate must haves. I love alphabets so I can't decide whether to get 2 of those or just 1 and get some of the other dies. It's a hard decision and not having Susan and the design team around right now makes it even harder, lol. Vicki

Oh, why can't there be something that I don't like in these pre-orders? ;D ;D I've already placed one small order, and warned my CC that I'll be going back again after I see how Susan and the Design Team enable us!

okay, I have my order ready but I can't decide between Blue Sky and Handmade. I think handmade is a little tiny tiny bit whimsical, maybe not the right word, maybe a little tiny tiny bit goofy and I like that. But I also like how Blue Sky has a shadow. UGH! I can't decide. Vicki

I'm right there with you Vicki!! Shadow vs. whimsical....hmmmmmm! I love the whimsical...always have. And I tend not to use my Diesel Dies, which are similar to the Blue Sky. But I love the shadow.... Decisions, decisions.... If only all decisions in life were this much fun! Pam

Yay! I just got my email from Dani and it's official! Now I can play along!
I got the Carousel font. I really love it. And then there is Handmade. It reminds me of Sketch, but it's bigger. Then there is the swirly fun of Whirpool. And Blue Sky is really two fonts in one. There is a lot of buzz about the shadows. We haven't seen that in a while.
And wait until you see how big the borders are! The houndstooth border is 3" wide. HUGE!
And the felt. **swoon** I may be the most excited about the felt. Dreamy!

Vicki Vicki, don't discount Handmade. It isn't to small of a font. I have posted my page under 'While Susan is Away ...' I am not near my scrapbook room or I would measure it for you. But will do so when I get back. Blue Sky - is huge! I love having a shadow font again. I know Susan is planning on posting the sizes of the dies, etc on the blog, so keep an eye out for that. Karen

I'm not sure what the fiber content is. I'll need to check.
I had been using some felt by the yard from JoAnn Fabrics. It's WoolFelt and is 20 or 35% felt, depending on the color. It cuts really nicely with both CC dies and 2x2/4x4 dies. But it only comes in dark, more "country" colors.
You are right--the fiber content is key. The acrylic felts just don't cut well because the fibers are too elastic and don't actually cut--they just squish. I've had some luck with the sheets of felt, but I always have to snip areas.

Vicki, I think Susan will put our projects up tonight or tomorrow. I forget when she said she was doing that. But the first thing everyone always wants to see are the dies and the sizes!
Susan is posting pics from the convention floor. If you go to the blog page, on the right hand side is the CHA gallery link. You can view the pics there, or you can click on them and see them full size and with comments.
But it's still not as good as being there!

I know, I'm just giving her a hard time. Hubby's working and I'm sitting here all by myself with nothing to do, lol. I saw the pictures she's put up so far, very cool stuff. Love those colors of smooches. Vicki

Vicki, want to help me out? I'm still working on CHA projects (my dies went on a bit of a detour around the country!) and I'm looking for photos for Karen's page. I'm running DD around today and prepping for the Girl Scout meeting I'm running tomorrow. I'm researching vets in the area (Big Dog is having liver problems) and I'm answering questions from another Air Force wife moving to Boston. I'm not sure if I'm coming or going this weekend! Go play in the scrap room or make some cards. I'm going to do another card drive for the troops--you could get a head start!

sure but I can't help with missing dies or finding your photos, lol. I'll help with girl scouts if it involves cookies, lol and I'm good at dealing with vets ;D Vicki

Wanna PAY for the vet? This is going to cost us. I was spoiled--in Virginia I had a really good friend who was a vet. I'm considering running down there next week. The girls sold a ton of cookies today. They were VERY pleased!

I have a diabetic dog, he costs me enough without needing to add more, lol. I learned that they have specialists too, who knew. And those vets, oh my word are very expensive. So I know what you are going through. We have him seen by an Army vet and local vet. When he can have something done through the Army vet, it's a lot cheaper but they can't do everything unfortunately. Vicki

Vicki, I had a diabetic dog growing up. It's hard! We are experiencing the same thing with our vet. We use the vet on base, but they can only do so much--they don't even have an xray machine! So they did all the preliminary tests and are now sending us out with the results. Her liver enzymes are elevated, she has dirrahea and is losing weight. And she's 12. You know none of that is good. Add this on to all the meds she currently takes for her thyroid and arthritis (including weekly shots) and she's a pricey girl. But she is such a nice dog and is so happy, she's worth it. Ok, I'm not thinking about that now. It makes me sad! I'm working on Karen's page now. Between the CHA dies and Karen's contest, I may just get Christmas 2006 scrapbooked!
