Mine are done but I am waiting for Sister in Law Carrie to get hers done. We are supposed to get together Sunday and work on hers. I will send them together when she is finished. Time gets away much too quickly!!

NO Guilt needed; Miss Gail! A scrap retreat sounds like it would be FUN, RELAXING and just what the "Dr" ordered. I hope you had a blast.

I didn't get my pages in the mail on Friday. [image] Then my young kitty started acting sick again on Sunday. :'( (he just finished a round of meds on Saturday.) DH took him back to the vet on Monday. We found out today he has fungal pneumonia :'( and will be on meds for a month or two. His a very sick kitty and will have to stay with the vet for awhile poor thing. He should recover if meds work for him. I will get my pages mailed in the next day or two.

ladies - I feel like I got a special, privileged "peek" because I got to see all of the pages that were arriving last week! (I was with Gail and Karen at a scrap retreat in Virginia...and we had a blast!) When Gail and I got back to her house Sunday so many pages had arrived!

OH THE pressure...now I have to act quickly and get pages that I hope will somehow, somewhere, come close in awesomeness to YOUR pages! And the recipes - amazing as well!~

So with my peeks over, I will scurry about and get to working on my pages for the swap! IT's going to be an awesome crock-pot book!

Susan, I'm jealous! First you get to go to a scrap-booking retreat with Karen and Gail and then a sneak peek of the pages too! ;)
I hope you ladies had a blast!

Gail, I hope kitty gets better soon too. I miss having him help me tie my shoes of a morning. He like to follow me around while I fix supper or he finds a corner sit and watches me. He even sits and watches me scrap sometimes. He watch DS work on computers too [image] Just as if he is trying to learn how we are doing things.
Can you tell he is spoiled......but he came to our house in August; he was about the size of man's thumb with very little fur and his eyes barely open. He was in bad shape. He was dehydrated and starving. (his mom was a barn cat and had got killed ) The vet didn't think he would make it; DH, DS & I took turns bottle feeding him and he grew like a weed. He was healthy until 2 weeks ago and hopefully we will get him healthy again.

I'm glad the pages arrived, they are REALLY simple but hopefully functional. First time I've used velcro. Hope it's helpful. I'm worried that the spots in the flowers may have fallen off. The glue didn't seem to work as well as I had hoped.

I believe I owe you some money Gail. Please let me know how much. :)

Gail is used to doing "repairs"! I went through 2 types of tape and 2 more glues before I got one recipe layout to stay where it belonged! And on another one the little I-Rock sparklies refused to stick!

BTW... Scor-Tape and Best Glue Ever are the answers!

The "3 in 1" glue is great for flowers and repairs too

[image] scor-tape [image] is my best friend when it comes to making pages & cards.

Hubby and DS even come looking for my scor-tape any time they have hard to stick items.......(examples laptop & cell phone repairs for a few) [image] [image] I even gave DS a roll of 1/4" so he had some on hand.

Oh, and I finally made it to the post office today...pages have been done for three days but getting them in the mail proved challenging. Hopefully you will have them by the weekend, Gail.

I don't have any inside info on the Spring Fling - yet! ;), but I'm sure Susan will have at least one page challenge for us! I love the challenges, because some of the parameters are already set, so it cuts down on the decision-making!! :D

Gail, I'm excited about this album too. I love making and sharing these pages. I love admiring everyone's pages. These albums / cookbooks make me smile when I look at them......knowing the care and creativity everyone puts into them.
