Just to kick start the board, I thought it might be a cute idea to have an introductions thread so that we all can "meet" each other. So just to start My name is Dani. I am married to my lovely wife Rose and we have 2 beautiful children ages 3 and 1. We started Scrapy Land around 3 years ago as a hobby. Thanks to your support the website has been growing and it became a full time business which we very much enjoy.

Hi Everyone, Dani I am thrilled that you have started this message board! My name is Laura and I live in South Western Ontario Canada. I have been a customer of Scrapy Land for ... not long enough!! The friendly customer service and the fast and so reasonable shipping to Canada has made me a dedicated customer. I have been married to the man of my dreams for 27 exciting years. We are so blessed with our 2 wonderful children - a son 15 and a daughter 13. We have 4 pets - our Tabbi cat Anna - our Miniature Dachsund Truffles - our Kenyan Sand Boa King Solomon and our Leopard Spotted Geko King Tutankhamun! I have loved crafts as long as I can remember and started Scrapbooking and Card making about 5 years ago. All dies and cutting machines are much more expensive in Canada so, I decided to search the online stores in the US and found Scrapy Land and it has been my Store of Choice since then. I have a Revolution for my QuicKutz and BossKut - and a Cricut. I have been sitting on the fence about buying a Gazelle or Silhouette. I love so many of the original size Sizzix dies and may have to break down and buy the Big Shot! I am so looking forward to getting to know you all and future members! Sorry Gloria I have not used the Spellbinder Nestablilities but have heard good reviews about them. Perhaps Spellbinders has a Demo on thier website you can view! Thanks again Dani for this Message Board! Laura. <><

Hi Dani & everyone!
I know a couple of you on the board already! I'm using a different addy now. Tristan is my grandson and Nina is a nickname for Godmother. From a Mexican tradition, since Tristan is the first grandson, I became his Godmother. I'm married and have three daughters, 22, 20, & 17 and one grandson, 22 months whom I adore.
Like Laura, I'm very excited that you created a member's board! I found your store almost two years ago when I was searching for QK item that my LSS did not have. Your store is the "Go To" store!
I'm a grown up military brat and love to travel! I lived in St. Petersburg FL during my childhood and remember when they built the Sunshine bridge! Boy that is a scary bridge when you are riding in a VW bug! I have a cousin who lives in Ft Lauderdale and was in Miami last October.
I've live in the Pacific NW and enjoy our "liquid" sunshine! NOT! When we're not at home in the US, we are enjoying our ranch in Colima Mexico.
I love Afternoon teas and look forward to my trips to Canada, England, Hong Kong, and Singapore where the tradition has stayed strong.
I look forward to sharing ideas and chatting with everyone who joins the board!
PS, Laura, don't forget to send me your address so I can send you those halibut die cuts!

Laura: I have know you for "not long enough" I never knew you had pets.. Snakes??
Cheryle: As I've told you, next time you are in Miami you must come to the our warehouse. You would really enjoy it.

Hello! Is nice to "meet" you scrappers. Here is a little bit about me: My name is Virginia. I was born and raised in the Dominican Republic (Caribbean), I am currently living in Boston, Massachusetts. My DH just got out of the US Army and we have lived in Texas and Washington State. I am a 27 years old mom of two girls (2 and 4 y.o Camilla and Christina). I work as a travel agent and in my free time I love to chat in the Internet with family and friends, check myspace and facebook, scrapbook, make cards, beading, eBaying, read lots of books and above all, talk to my mom on the phone. I can speak Spanish and English fluently and some Portuguese but if you ask me I can always parlar Italiano, but only with the italian cuties . (just kidding) I am a 19-year old trapped in a 27 year's old body, so I like what your typical 19 years old GOOD GIRL likes: go to the movies, listen to R&B, go to family get together, etc. I love my friends. I love my girls. I love pink. I love my cousins. I like all girly things. I am afraid of rodents. I have two turtles: Molly and Star. I dislike tattoos. I want my daughters to have a happy life. I have friends all over the world. I am pro-life. I am a shopoholic and a chocoholic. I have little patience. I have lots of love for others. I am always late, not fashionably, I mean really late. I am not a morning person. I have about 10 pounds over my ideal weight (and 15 over what I would like to look like).I love to drive and go places around my city as long as it takes less than an hour and I don't get in too much traffic (if I do I get road rage , not a good sight). I get together with my friend Debbie once a month to scrap, and with Christina and Becky once or twice in a month to read books and scrap. I don't know how to iron clothes (neither I care to learn, lol), I can barely cook. I mean, if I have a recipe book, I might get it right, but I guess that I just don't try hard enough (one of my goals is to learn with the next 5 years), I am addicted to the Internet, I love to go out and try something different every weekend, and I love being me. Geez, I think that I will use this definition of me for a layout....j/k

I was so excited to see the new message board today, I forgot to add the bio Gotta give thanks to my hubby of 35 years (okay, so its really in August) for his support of my QK habit. We have two kids (boy / girl) and 5 grandkids with another on the way ~ we just found out last Saturday. I worked at an automotive supplier for 29 years and most of those in Sales before they closed our plant/moved to Mexico. Great job, wonderful friends and miss the paycheck now you know why the thank you hubby ~ in case he ever signs on to read this ~ not!. Love making die cuts that keeps me busy in the winter months and not going stir crazy with snow on the ground Summer months, flowers, weeding, mowing and enjoying the weather is my big thing. I don't shovel snow, but so love to ride the lawn mower with my i-pod and oldies music...if you drive by, that's me singing to an oldie tune (out loud) with the birds nearby. Just honk if you see me! As porkie use to say....that'ssss all folks! for now

Hi everyone! I'm Emma. I'm also from the UK. I've been shopping with Dani for almost a year and a half now and I hold him responsible for the large amount of dies I have accumulated within that time! ;D I've been married to my hubby for 8 years now, we met 15 years ago at University (College). I have a son who is 2 and half but going on 13! I work part time (2 days a week) in Local Government and enjoy the rest of the week looking after my DS. I enjoy making cards and I also love jewellery making, but with a toddler and work, it is often hard to juggle everything and find the time! I see some familar faces already, but it would be lovely to meet more people on this MB!

Hello, I'm Lorraine and i'm also in the UK and have been shopping with Dani for quite a while now. I recognise a few names here but for those who don't know me, i make mostly cards with cross stitch but love to embellish them with diecuts, brads, ribbons etc. I've been in several UK magazines and am about to start writing a monthly column for one of them. I have 2 children, my DD is 16 and has just finished school & hopes to start college in september, my DS has just turned 14.
Happy crafting!

No Shar yet Virginia, it's only me.. that crazy lady from the Netherlands.. lol
Hi there, I am Angelique, I live in the Netherlands, and I am a quickutz addict. That being out in the open, I must admit I made a purchase or two with Dani.. I know.. not enough. But I am a little hesitant to pay with the cc.
I am a single girl, 41, and mommy to 2 fur babies Merlin and Mystic, 1.5 years of age, and a handful. Those two kitties drive me crazy some times.
My job is not very popular here in the Netherlands. There isn't a very good translation for what I do. It has several translations, so I will use the ones I know here.. okay.. you could say I am:
a bailiff, proces-server, messenger at arms, sherriff officer, and then there must be some more that i don't know of.. But anyway. If you live in the Netherlands, and you don't pay your rent, I will "help" you move out... eh.. sort of.. But mostly I serve legal papers.
I see a lot of familiar faces here.. Hi Emma, Lorraine, Virginia. Laura and Cheryle, nice to see all of you here too.

Hi Angelique, Waving to you from Canada! Still love those tulips. I wanted to let you know that I have used my Credit Card with Dani hundreds? of times ( In fact I am sure he is going to retire from the profit he has made from me....ROFL) . He has a secure site. You can tell by the little lock that is at the top of the page. Therefore all your information is very safe. Chris has taught me never to give out information on a site that is not secure. I am so pleased when I found Scrapy sometime ago! Welcome my lovely Dutch friend! <><

Hi Angelique, Thanks for letting me know! I like to use my Credit card for the Airmiles. We have almost 26,000 miles saved again and that is after we send my DD out to Winnipeg Aberta for a visit to Chris' cousins. I just love my aimiles. Wish I could buy QuicKutz with them. Perhaps not as I don't think we would have any!!! See Ya! Laura. <><

I like using my CC too, because I get points on it, that converts into money vouchers which I can spend in a particular store.
I guess the only thing is I don't get to see what the exchange rate is straight away like you can with Paypal because I have to wait for my statement to arrive.
Otherwise, I've never had any problems.

Hi guys... Found this tonight while at work. My name is Wendy I've been buying from Scrapyland for probably 2 years now or close too it. Love the layaway plan I don't feel so guilty that way.
Been married for 10 years - 12 year old son and 18 year old daughter who just graduated. I work Tech Support for a US company but I work nights so I support our company's all over the world.
Started out making cards as a hobby 7 years ago and now its been a decent income to support my hobby LOL.
I use all my dies including Quickutz 2 x 2 and Revolution, bosskut, sizzix, wizard etc in my Cuttlebug which was one of the Best purchases I ever made. According to my Quickutz collection on Quickutz.com I own 264 QK dies not including this months which I have on layaway. Scary when you think of a $ amount with all those dies. Ok not thinking about that.
Hmmm yep thats it I think. Oh i have a couple of them Fur babies someone else spoke of Bailey my Mini Schnauzer who is my baby and my husband's baby Bodhi his Yorkie. They sleep with us and everything.
