I hope we're in an earlier group, too, but I think I'd rather have a delay in shipping, and know that they will "get it right" the first time (just thinking of the QK Epic "adventure")!

There is a Hobby Lobby opening about an hour from my house. Can't wait. Every time I see an altered frame or project it seems like they always get the base item at Hobby Lobby. Just in time for Christmas OH DEAR!!!! or is that OH DEER!!!!

Okay, I've never had a Spellbinders machine. The Calibur is my first (and I'm in LOVE!).
I assume it's normal for the dies to embed themselves into the top plate -- Plate C (the Cutting Plate)? The C Plate is going to get scratched up, like the cutting plates for the Cuttlebug and the BS/BK, right?
Thanks!

I don't have my GC yet, but I believe that it operates like other machines (BS/Rev/Epic/etc.) that the die goes face up on the bottom plate, then the paper face down, then the cutting plate (if that's "C" on the GC).
And yes, those "top" plates get all scratched up.

Thanks! I'm glad I did it right!
I'm loving the Calibur. It really does emboss noticeably deeper & crisper than my BK, and the sandwich is so easy (with labeled/color-coordinated plates).
