Cat, I'm trying to figure out how to get one of these great machines into my craftroom. Maybe if your husband were to talk to my husband . . . he just let me buy a Gypsy for my birthday, but this looks like more fun. Hmmmm, maybe it's time to buy him a new woodworking tool . . .

I too am considering giving up on my Revolution and selling it. I was going to keep my Big Shot for die cutting. I don't own any of the Sizzix thick dies just Sizzlets.
So I have read all the comments and would just like to know if this machine will cut Borders and will it cut BossKuts?? Can anyone help me please. Thanks!

From what I have heard this machine only cuts the thin etched dies made like spellbinder and Qk and cottage cutz. I don't think they cut sizzix dies.

Their website says that it's compatible with all low-profile dies, including all Spellbinders (naturally!), as well as Sizzlets, Cuttlebug, QuicKutz dies; also Cuttlebug Embossing Folders and Fiskars Texture Plates. I guess we'd better keep our Big Shots/etc. for those thick Sizzix dies!

I thought I heard on the video on the blog that it would could sizzix sizzlets, just not the thicker dies because of the small opening. Hmmm, didn't pay attention to the length of the cutting pad. Will have to go back and rewatch the video! That's a great question. Vicki
*just rewatched the video, hard to tell about it cutting 12" borders. If the paper she used was 8 x 11 then I'd say no, the plate isn't big enough but if she cut down a 12 x 12 sheet of paper, they I'd say yes. BUT I just don't know for sure. I'm not getting rid of any of the other machines I have (just love them too much, lol) so I know it won't be a problem for me but for those who would like to just have one machine, well hopefully someone in the know can chime in and answer that question.

So I watched all the demos I could find and I would really like to get one. This is a great machine as many of you realize and I love it's cutting and embossing capabilities. I think I would keep my Big Shot for smaller dies, I just love the size of these dies and would love to see where they are going to take them. It may be time to toss a coin. Why didn't I pay more attention when the talk about this machine first started? Sigh!

Here is the answer to whether you can cut the border dies in the machine (taken off the SB blog) "The mats are 8¼ x 11¾”, and the opening on the machine is 8½” wide. You can die cut with 8½ x 11″ paper without trimming it!" HTH, Vicki

I tend to be a Sizzix gal (Big Shot Pro, Big Kick), but I bought the Calibur + 8 sets of Grande dies bundle after watching a video.
I know the Grande dies will fit through my BSP, but using my wafer dies in that machine requires a bit of fiddling with the sandwich. I love being able to use a QK border embossing folder/die on a 12x12 sheet of paper, though, so I put up with the fiddling.
I have a ton of Spellbinders dies and figure it's time to get them their own machine. I wish it took 12x12 paper, but 8.5x11 is certainly better than the 6" opening offered by most other machines.

Fingers in my ears. Not looking any more. Can't hear any of the hoopla. Not gonna cave. I am strong. I AM STRONG.
BUT, if it did 12-inch borders, I would be WEAK!!!!
