Just my opinion: Does anyone think QK is repeating to many dies? I mean, how many crowns, trains, etc do we need in three different sizes. Don't get me wrong, I LOVE my QK but would really like to see "new" new stuff. Exclusive or not ~ Your thoughts?

Hi Beth, I can see where you are coming from! I have notice that everytime they repeat a die the die is better, They have taken more time in creating it! Not that I wouldn't like new shapes. I also do like the different sizes til I can get an electronic die cutting machine. I thik that some of the June releases or nicer than the Exclusive similar dies. Just my thoughts. Laura. ) <><

we didn't have a decent 2x2 crown yet.. But I agree it is strange they've released it in 2 sizes

I agree they are repeating some of them and if I were one of the stores that had an exclusive that was "similar" to the new release, I think I would be a little upset about it. As far as repeating some 2x2's into REV size dies -- I don't mind that much as long as they change them SOME. For a while, they didn't have a whole lot of 4x4's to choose from so now it is nice to have so many and at least you have a choice of different sizes. I seem to use my REV size dies much more than the 2x2's but it does depend on what size area I am putting them in.

The 2x2 is a Club Die so many people won't get that one. Hey I just wonder if one of the next Club dies will ne a wand??? Probably not as these 2 were taken for this months reieases. Not a good guess! Laura. ) <><

I hear you! I'm not fond of all the repeat designs too. Some are real improvements like the pie or the baby bottle, but the new train is just plain UGLY! Have you ever seen an engine looking like this? All my men are into model railway and steam engines, so I could use several versions, but they'd never accept this one on the same page with thier beloved engines.
Another problem is that the different companies are repeating designs as well. Seriously, how many crowns do I need? I've got one BK and the one that comes in the Denmark set, sorry this one is a little late...

I think that they are making to many cutsy dies. Some of us like more reality style dies. A good leaf selection available to the general quickutz population would be nice. (Archivers comes to mind) Maybe some 4x4 label holders, ones you could use for journaling. I have a Silhouette so I can cut some big ones, but not everyone is fortunate enough to have one.

Yes, they look like they are running out of ideas and coming up with some that the same. I wish they would come up with some of their old ones so that someone like me could get my hands on at a decent price, you know the bird, chef's hat, the witch silhouette, beanie, banana.
But that's just my opinion.
Thanks, Betty/navymom05

I have just started collecting within the last year but like to see some more non cutsey dyes as well. But, I still love them all and have so many I have lost count.

I do believe the first Alpha was Star. It is designated with 01 in all the books. Roxy was 05,

I think they repeat designs because they retire dies. That way they make them available again to newer customers or others that may have missed out.
I also like the more realistic looking dies.
They have yet to make a ferret though!

Danica could I use a ferret shape as a Prarie Dog? I could really use that. It could work! I still think it is cool you had one of those. As you can see I am really pushing the QK should make a ferret die issue.

I like the new castle much better than the exclusive one. It's not as cutesy and I'm planning to turn it into a ruin as we have a couple of castle ruins around here and they're always worth a hike with the boys ;D

I agree. The exclusive is more cutesy (and I love that one for princess or Disney pages) and the new one isn't. Great idea about using it for German castles and ruins. I took ALOT of pictures while we were in Germany a couple weeks ago. It'll be perfect. I'll also use it for a bigger sandcastle. Vicki

But not every scrapbookpage needs cutesy shapes.
I love cute dies, but I would like to see some realistic shapes too
