Where are you ladies finding 2x2 plastic page organizers that hold like 24 dies on one page?
Katie and Karen E showed them on the blog...
Where are you getting them ladies?

Where are you ladies finding 2x2 plastic page organizers that hold like 24 dies on one page? They look like the EZ Storage sheets from QuicKutz...they go in the big, black storage binders.

I think the ones that Katie uses are for regular 3 ring binders and those hold 20 dies. I've seen them on evilbay. Maybe someone here can comment on the quality?
Dani usually has the QK 16 die pages and the 24 die pages, but he is out of stock right now. The 24 die pages are designed for the All in One binder, but you can use them in the smaller binders as well (pink, black or navy.) You just need to accordian fold the pages so that they fit. Same thing with the 16 die pages--you just fold them to fit in the binder. It works and I like the 16 die pages the best because I use the smaller binders and I can see more of my dies at the same time.
HTH!

I bought the clear protectors from evilbay. I had the all-in-one clear sheet protectors, but they always ripped with just one die in them. I tried these on evilbay, and they're great. They easily hold doublekutz, but they do not hold triplekutz dies. Maybe Dani can find these wholesale for us because they really do work great. Just a thought. Michelle, I'm steeling the term evilbay from you. It fits PERFECTLY! So much evil.

I have 2x2s that ripped, 4x4s, and the ones for the 4x8 alphabets. Some of the 4x4s I received (made by QK) were way too small for the 4x4 dies. Now I use a CD case, which someone on the MB mentioned (maybe our great enabler?), and it works great. I put my 4x8 alphas in there also.

I keep my 4x8 dies in a CD album. It works for me!

Another problem but I got a solution. The reference guide has not been updated to work with internet exlorer 8 so the shapes can't be placed on the grid. Some can but then others disappear. What frustration! I just opened a word document and I copied and pasted. You need to enlarge a little bit and put space between the images. It goes pretty fast.

I'm doing something similar in Power Point. That way, I'm not wasting the labels on empty space. I don't have the labels yet, but I think I will pick them up this week. I would love to get everything labeled!

I picked up the Staples brand of clear labels 8 1/2 x 11....25 sheets in each package. It was about $6.00 cheaper than the other brand ......Looked the same to Eugene & me.... Can't wait to label all my dies even thought I'd try adding my NAME to the label. That way when we are sharing dies at crops it's easy to sort every ones out. (My girls are planning to label their dies too!!!) Wow Katie you tip has the message board humming with activity. I'm loving all these great tips, will have to sort my paper scraps one of these days............................ Cat

I'm done! It took me two days. Now I'm waiting for the storage pages to come in. I wasn't feeling well yesterday and didn't have the energy to go to the store. I printed on thin vellum and ran through the xyron. Works great. Cuts fine. Today I did pick up the labels and finished the project.

This was a huge ordeal putting all the stickers on all my dies, but it totally paid off. It's so easy to find dies now. I love the vellum through the xyron idea. Also, it's a great idea to add your name to the die too. You ladies are SMART! I scanned some of the images too - The quickutz site didn't have them all, and they like to bunch the sets into 1 image.
Now when I get new dies, I just wait until I can fill up a sheet with images and then print it out.

The QK site doesn't have all the images. But they are usually out there somewhere. Evilbay has a lot of images, or you can google the die and find the image. It can take a while, but it's fun to see the dies!

Oh just a word of caution if you use Vellum and Xyron, allow for peeling. If you cut clean around the image it will be a bear to peel. So I worked from the bottom up. I peeled the bottom image and cut. That allows for the image above to lift, so peeling will be easier. With the labels this is not the case.

I personally use the slide protector sheets for storage of my 2x2 dies but another idea I have heard of is using a coin protector sheet. I havent tried that yet but was told they are a bit thicker.
I also use a cd case for my 4x4s and then a coupon/check (accordian folder like) holder for the 4x8 alphabets.
Hope that helps.

...a coupon/check (accordian folder like) holder for the 4x8 alphabets. molly That's a great idea...and especially if you're taking more than one alpha to a crop away from home! Just for the record...my QK and SB dies NEVER leave the house. I'm not trying to be selfish, but I've had friends lose too many dies, etc. ...damaged by someone using them incorrectly, falling out of the holders, being left on a table and accidentally picked up by someone else, or (worst of all) being stolen.

I've wondered about this. I don't scrap away from home, but this would be some heavy equipment to haul around! I think I would just cut what I needed ahead of time. I worry about ME losing dies. I cut a title out of Mademoiselle the other day and almost lost that tiny "o." I found it under a shelf. It must have fallen off my table and bounced there. Good thing I was paying attention!
But if you call QK, they will replace single dies like that. I'm not sure if there is a charge, though.

Now that we no longer have an LSS in this area, I scrap at home, too. Even at that, Cookie Cutter dies seem to enjoy hiding in the carpet, or else our cat finds one to play with! And when I did go to the LSS, I cut my alphas/shapes ahead of time, too!

Am I the only one who drags an all in one binder filled with dies to crops, lol. I only let my friends use them if they ask but I have to admit, I do cringe leaving it at the store when I run out to lunch. But I know the workers are right there and most scrapbookers here don't know there are all those dies in there, let alone know what qk is, lol. Vicki

I have shared....still share with people I know....I have lost a few dies and stamps..either I miss placed them or someone put them away thinking it belong to them... I started putting my name on the ones I plan to take to club. When I do my labels for my dies I plan to add my name. (the lady who does our club project tells us in advance which dies to bring. Sometimes part of us don't have the dies so there is sharing) Cat

All my dies are available to my friends that crop with me at my home and they do have dies of their own and that will avoid confusion. We had that problem with the 4x8 fonts, but at the start I put a dot on each one that was my friends. You will be surprised how quickly you forget what you own.

I spent a good part of today working on my labels. I got most of the 2x2 dies set up--17 sheets worth. My QK inventory isn't updating, so I may need to wait and find out from QK what is going on. I'm running errands tomorrow and will look for the label sheets. And maybe another ink cartridge as well... Katie, do you do this for your 4x4 dies? I'm trying to decide if I want the labels 3.5 x 3.5 so that I can get six on a sheet or if I should make them 4x4 and only get four on a sheet. I know those are going to take a ton of sheets! But since the labels will essentially act as a shim, I'm wondering if I will want it to cover the entire die? Michelle

At some point I will do my 4x4s but right now mine are cutting fine without a shim. - Soooo is it necessary to cover the entire die??? Just a thought.
