My 4x4s cut fine. But if I'm adding thickness to the middle, will the edges cut as well if the label doesn't go all the way to the edge?
If I'm doing the 2x2s, I may as well do the 4x4s as well. Half the time I don't remember what I have.
When I was making up all my labels, I was using my inventory sheet. For several of them, I was surprised to see that I had that die. I'm digging around in them everyday, but if they aren't labeled, I forget what I have. I really can't wait to have this all done. I think I'm going to love it.

I had the same concern because stupid me when I started the 2x2s I wasn't covering the entire back and then it dawned on me so I tried it out and they still cut. BUT most of the back is covered. I guess better be safe than sorry. Do the entire 4x4 and then you will be safe.

Michelle, that was my concern too. Dania, I also thought better safe than sorry. To have all that label making supplies and work to go down the drain.......I'm covering the whole back unless I can positively know for sure they won't .be affected by that tiny difference cat

I did label my 4x4 dies with 3.5x3.5 stickers. This was a concern of mine too. But I tried it out on a few, and it made absolutely no difference. The avery and staples labels are super thin. I'm not sure how this would work with the vellum and xyron combination which I assume would be slightly thicker. With my epic, I still have to shim with several pieces of cardstock. I guess one epic is different from another, so check it out on your machine first.
I'm so impressed that so many ladies are doing this labeling. I really think it will help you use your dies more, and make you use a lot of dies you haven't used in a while.

Katie, I'm glad to hear that the 3.5" labels worked. That's the size template that I set up. That way, I could get 6 on a page rather than 4. Hey, I'm cheap! And I have way more 4x4 dies than 2x2 dies. That's a lot of label sheets.
And so the project continues. The good news is that I've had the TV on while working on the computer and I'm all caught up with Law & Order SVU. The bad news is that my current project wasn't' touched yesterday...

I bought sheets of full sized labels at Office Depot today. $22 for a package of 25. Yikes! But they are buy two, get one free for the 3M brand. There were boxes of 100 white labels for $48. I was really tempted to get those. But I decided to go with the clear, thinking I would like how they look. And with the sale, they were the same price as the clear labels. I just got fewer labels. Hopefully 75 will do the job! I have 29 pages set up right now and am only into the 4x4 "B"s. But I'm getting caught up with SteVo and all the shows! Michelle Michelle

Oh Katie you shouldn't be surprised......This is a super idea......Like I said before I've been trying to figure out a way to put the dies picture on the back......but just couldn't figure out a way to make it work. I have even saved all the dies package labels thinking I might use them some how. I know I will love having all of my dies labeled this way.......I can't wait until I have them all finished and ready to use. I know i will even use them more done this way.......because I won't get as discouraged trying to find what I need. Thanks again for the super idea!!!!!!! Cat

Cindy, here is what I did. I tested some pages out today and it worked so well! I printed 2 of 39 sheets. I have a ways to go! If you saw above, I used 3M full sized clear labels. These worked really well!
I made a table in Power Point. I made it 4 wide by 5 long, 2" squares. I just copied and pasted each piece of clip art into the table. Then I went back and resized them to 1.5." I went into "format" and resized the largest dimension to 1.5." Then I centered each image in the cell. Before I printed the sheets, I removed the borders so that I didn't need to trim away the black lines (chose no borders.)
Cindy, I'm not sure what program you used, but when you resize an image, you need the diagonal arrow. Then you just "pull" the corner out or in to the size you want. But I wanted all the images the same size, so I went into the formatting option and entered 1.5" as the size I wanted. You may need to play around some to get what you need...
When I cut the images apart, I cut them approximately 1.75 inches, as the dies are almost exactly 2" and I didn't want to have to line them up exactly. If you had this sized square punch, that might work too. But I just cut them into long strips with my trimmer and then cut the pieces apart by hand.
The backing came off super, super easy. I was glad about that! I used a scraper-sort of tool for applying rub ons to burnish the decals onto the die. This got out all the air bubbles and ensured a good bond.
If anyone wants a template (remember, it's in Power Point!), just PM me your email address and I'll forward it to you. It took a bit of putzing around, but I think I have a workable system and the dies look incredible! It's fun to rediscover what I have in my library!

I was working with the 2x2 and the 4x4. I think I got them working the way I want.
The issue that I am having now is the border dies. I wanted to do the box idea (forgive for not remembering who started me on that project). I had some of those picture boxes that work great for border die storage and made up the folder dividers and wanted to put the picture on the dividers. The issue that I am having is that the Quickutz EZ Reference sheets prints them so small and is such a waste of all of that label so I had wanted to figure out a different way thinking maybe I could got 4 borders on a page but I am having issue with that. If I resize the image they look distorted and they keep disappearing....so frustrating. I could have made 10 pages in the time I have spent trying to figure this one out....lol.

Cindy, I see what you mean. If you want the images larger, here is a suggestion. Go into Word or another program. Pull up the border that you want on the QK website. Not in the EZ Reference section, but under "Dies" and then "Borders." Click on the border you want, and then click on it again to pull up the enlarged image. This image is a better quality image, which will help because you are looking to make the image so large. Right click on the image and "copy" it. Then go to the Word program and right click again and "paste" it. You can then size the image as big as you wish. If you "landscape" the page, you can make the borders 10", with a half inch margin for printing. I think this is the easiest way to get the end result that you are looking for. Good luck! Michelle
