Get your votes in! The poll closes at midnight! _______________________________________________ Just for fun... When you scrap, so you have the TV turned on? If so, what do you watch? What about music, the radio, audio books? Let's see what kind of atmosphere you like for scrapping! Michelle

For me - I scrap with the TV on - in the morning it is the Today show. In the afternoon it would be Law & Order or CSI

Usually it's tv, occassionally it's radio. I usually have HGTV, Lifetime..something like that on. Things I can listen to and glance at without having to "watch" so I don't make mistakes scrapping!

Oh goodness, mainly the TV and whatever husband Eugene is watching. I do watch & scrap to NCIS, and Survivor. I do watch some movies....most other TV I only listened to while card making. ( lately I haven't scrapped or made cards ) My very favorite thing is scrapping or card making next to a stream or river in the mountains; under the pine trees...... with birds singing & butterflies dropping by for a visit. There is nothing like looking up and seeing a doe and her fawn watching me from across the river..................................................... Heaven! **********************************The Mountains are Calling and I Must Go.********************************* Hugs Cat

I watch (listen to) TV. It is usually something I have seen 10 or 20 times so I do not have to watch to know what is happening. Gilmore Girls, Pride and Prejudice, Anne of Green Gables are the most common, but other movies too. If Daughter is with me she gets to pick and its usually something Disney. Cindy

hubby and I share my big studio - so I'm usually listening to him - *boring* on phone calls. That means right now I"m listening to orders for the baseball playoffs, prep work for the NFL drug audis, and schedules for the off-season trade shows and speaking engagements. I rarely have music going UNTIL October 15th hits - because then he's out of MY office from Sunday to Wednesday doing his NFL/drug thing. So it's what I call "momma's time"!!! The dogs and I crank music all day long. I don't have a TV in my studio - but I have been known to fire up hulu.com and watch Glee reruns! LOL - but I also talk to the dogs all day long!!!! Does that count as an activity? ?

This is fun! I like to see how others work! If I'm just puttering around, I usually have the TV on. I TiVo the news, because my house is BUSY when the eveing news is on. So I try to watch that and then some "fluff" TV that I don't need to watch too closely. Every now and then I'll put a movie on... I have a friend who listens to audio books. But I find my mind wanders and then I need to go back to what I missed. But I forgot to put one obvious answer in the poll--nothing! If I'm working off a deadline or just trying to get stuff done, I like it *quiet.* Sometimes it's good to be alone with my creative juices flowing. Keep up the answers--it's fun! Michelle

It is usually "other" for me. I don't listen to anything. It's quiet and I can hear myself think. It sort of a time of meditation for me.

I like it quiet. I answer phone calls all day. So when I go to my room to scrap I shut the door and love the quiet. No noise for me. Deborah

I scrap in the quiet too. Sometimes I'll listen to talk radio when it's too quiet. But usually I'll just talk to the dog. I have to scrap quietly since I scrap during daughter's nap.

I scrap (work) better when I have noise. Drives some people crazy but I've always been that way. During the week it would be TV. On the weekend usually music.
Lately, since I started with headaches (I have had one everyday LITERALLY since 11/2/2009) I don't like to listen to much of anything whether TV or music.
I'm sure it has been discussed before, Susan what does your husband do? Sounds interesting from your blurb about sharing your office with your husband.

quiet drives me crazy so I have to have noise. I have a tv but it's not hooked up to the satellite or directv or whatever it is we have so I watch movies and tv shows I have on dvd. Do you want to know how many times I've watched CSI Miami, lol. We have netflix so I can watch stuff on the computer too. Vicki

Talk shows are good because you usually don't have to watch what is going on. I'm home most of the day tomorrow and I have a movie from Blockbuster. I may just watch that. Although SteVo (I named my TiVo) is filling up. The new season of shows has started up, but I don't have time to watch TV. I'm hoping to sort paper tomorrow and get the laundry folded.
What a glamorous life I lead!

I usually listen to "talk radio", too...just so I don't feel as though it's TOO quiet. Even in the evenings (like right now, for example), I tend to "listen" to TV, and only look up if I think it might be meaningful. Right now, our lives seem to revolve around the outcome of the Giants/Braves games ( ... tonight they won!), so I look up when it looks like the ball might be going out of the park!

Thanks, Cat! At first, I wasn't too excited to see kiddie scissors. But then I thought I would much rather make one sweep of the knife and have grown up scissors than try and round off grown up scissor tips. It really was just that easy.
I did the same thing on the "iScrapbook" page with the Cutterbee scissors. Snip, snip and I had big girl scissors!

I scrap with the TV on - usually NCIS, Law & Order, or old Sci-Fi/Horror movies . (I find I can listen to these, and still get what's going on, don't have to really watch!) When nothing interesting is on, I'll listen to music - Motown, old school punk, or rockabilly. I also like to have a scented wax tart melting in my burner - and before you scream "Fire Hazard", I found a burner that uses a light bulb to melt the wax - no open flames. ;D I usually use something seasonal - right now I have Autumn Leaves by Yankee Candle - it takes me back to jumping in piles of just-raked leaves as a kid... Gail P.S. Michelle your pages are fantastic, you are indeed the X-Acto Diva!

I do scrapbooks in silence or, if with friends, talking with friends. I'm not much for "noise." However, if I am mass-producing cards (e.g., baby shower invites, Christmas cards) then I will watch TV. I've done the creative part so I can take the distraction.

They got married more than 2 years ago, so I'm a bit behind. But I'll post a picture now and again. They already have his Halloween costume picked out!!!! Definitely pictures of that!

Awwww... I'd love to see the Halloween pics! DD was an angel that year. She was so stinking cute! DS had a pumpkin romper that he wore. But the best picture I have of him is carving pumpkins in just his diaper. He was 10 months and had pumpkin guts and seeds all over him. It was so cute!
