Is anyone watching the rescue of the trapped miners in Chile?
It was such an intense moment seeing the first one getting out.

I've been watching it. I am just amazed how they are getting them out. They are truly amazing men. This whole rescue has shown the amazing things that happen when people work together. I admit I cried when the first one came out. Vicki

I never watch the 11 pm news, but I stayed up last night to see if they had anyone out yet. It really is just a miracle that these men are still alive, much less being pulled up from such a huge distance underground. And then there are so many groups collaborating--sharing experience from other rescues. It's nice to see something going so well. I just broke my "no TV in the morning" rule and turned on the news. The kids have been talking about it at school. Things are still going well. Michelle

I've been watching and praying. I wonder which miner has the wife and the mistress waiting at the top.

I was just checking the news this morning, and they have 13 of the miners out...most are healthier than they expected. Let's hope and pray that the rescue wil be completee with continuing eamzing results. Then other "bad" behaviors can hopefully be sorted out away from cameras and yellow journalists!

I agree--I hope the man and his family are given the privacy to sort out their personal issues. They've increased the speed with which they are bringing the miners up. I just pray that it continues to go smoothly.

I just read that they've brought about half of the miners up, and it's still going well... Here's proof that doing things quickly isn't always the best solution!

Can't wait until all the miners and rescuers are above ground. Then a true celebration can begin. I am extremely claustrophobic so seeing the tiny tube and little hole it goes in, is very, very hard for me to watch. I am amazed no one has panicked. It has been so moving to see the family members greet them. The little child who was crying while waiting, the little child they held up to the dad while he was still in the tube and you could hear dad giving kisses and the one mom, that was a tear jerker. That look on his face when he saw his mom, was priceless. All the relieved faces. God is good! Vicki

24 rescued as of 2:00 pm California time! I just saw a line that said "read what celebrities are saying about the rescue"... do we really CARE what some TV/movie star is thinking? Let's all just be thankful that the rescue is going so well! (Just my opinion...)

I'm glad they are all out safe and sound. What an ordeal those folks have gone through. God bless them all.

I was glued to the set when I was taking care of my new grandson this morning (he was sleeping). What an amazing amount of work, and of faith and perseverance and people showing what is important in the long run: human lives!
I have to say, though, I'd HATE to be the last miner left. I would probably start wigging out thinking that they will forget me or something like that. I can't wait until they are all out!

I think I read that one of the rescuers will actually be the last person out, after all of the miners are rescued. I still wouldn't want to be last, though, no matter whether I were a miner or a rescuer!

Only two or three left to go. So thankful. Still praying until they are all free above ground.

My husband was watching last night (I don't watch TV anymore for too many reasons)but I thought he said there were only 24, but obvioulsy I misunderstood since I just read here there are more than 30. Regardless, praise God that they all are OK.

This was just incredible. I remember when the miners were first trapped and they said it would take a couple months to accomplish the rescue I thought no way. ...me of little faith. I loved watching the families reunited. I so appreciated the way the media covered this story and gave the background as to why they were rescued in the order they were. Let's just hope the media leaves them alone so that the families can enjoy each other.

Let's just hope the media leaves them alone so that the families can enjoy each other. Wouldn't that be nice? I heard on the radio this morning that the media is already bombarding them with offers of TV/movie/book deals...where did sensitivity go?
