Now that I'm home, I checked for Matzoh Ball recipes in a cookbook left to me by my late Mother-In-Law. There were several recipes, some calling for chicken fat, and one even using cinnamon! I thought the one labeled "easy" would be the best bet! Disclaimer: I've never made these, so you're on your own! 2 eggs, separated 1/2 cup matzo meal salt to taste Beat egg whites with salt until stiff. Beat egg yolks well, then fold into whites. Fold matzo meal into the egg mixture. Refrigerate for one hour, then wet hands and form into balls (ones that I've had are about the size of a ping-pong ball). Drop into boiling salted water, and boil for 25 minutes, then add to your favorite chicken soup. If anyone tries this, let me know what you think! Gail

I've never had Matzoh Balls before.....is matzo meal anything like flour or corn meal? My family make a dumpling with a biscuit-like type of dough we sometimes put into chicken soup instead of noodles. But heard that it was a southern thing......which I found hard to believe. I think everyone has had chicken-n-dumplings....I could be wrong. Cat

Matzo meal is different than corn meal. You can find it in the kosher section of supermarkets. Gail
