Is there going to be a Black Friday release again? I totally love the 4x4 Santa die that was released last year. He is so cute. I love that you can use him without owning the paperdoll die. I used him on the name cards I made for Christmas last year. A lot of pieces to put together but well worth it! So for those of you in the know...is there going to be a special release again?

I got to see the stuff this evening at my LSS Qk Club meeting. I am not going to say what they are but I will tell you that you will be able to buy 11 different previously released exclusive dies. And then there are like 5 new items to be released - alphabet and 4 dies. One of the dies is awesome! Hope there is a package left on December 1st.

Sorry in Denmark we haven't got black friday..... When is black friday, and what are you doing on Black friday ?? Lone Black Friday is the day after Thanksgiving Day in the United States. It's the day that retailers hope that everyone will start their Christmas/holiday shopping, and buy so much that their business ledgers will be "in the black"...finally making a profit. Many people love the challenge of being in the crowds in the stores, but I prefer to "shop in my pajamas"...in other words, on the Internet!

Officially, we in Germany haven't got Black Friday too, as Thanksgiving is no holiday over here (We do celebrate thanksgiving on the first Sunday in October, but it's more a church thing), but last year all of a sudden, Black Friday became an "in-theme" for TV and the newspapers. There were lots of articles and even a clip on the main news, and some big chains had even sales - so funny ;D

Black Friday--commercialism at it's best! DD and I went to the mall today. Dear God. What a nightmare. Such chaos. People are already nuts. And it turns out that DD is NOT interested in the simple Aeropostale tees on sale for $9. Noooo! She wants the $40 satin tanks from Nordstroms. I've got to give it to her, the girl has style. But she only came home with 2 sweaters, a skirt and the tank and the budget was gone. And she isn't even a teen yet! I soooo have some tough years ahead of me! Michelle

Sure looks like it, Michelle! Sounds like you have a budding fashionista on your hands! Diane, I'm with you, hon! Shopping on the internet in my jammies - priceless! I wouldn't be caught dead in a brick-and-mortar store on Black Friday! Gail

I'll go out on Wednesday morning after the kids get on the bus and make my last trip out for the weekend. I stock up on milk and bread and scurry back home again before the lunatics get off work. I'll do some prep work for Tday and then read a book or something and just listen to the quiet until the kids get home. They will be bouncing off the walls and all excited!
I've done a few Black Fridays. I think it's much more fun when you have someone to go with and I don't. So we really just have family time at home. I'm sure Monopoly will be played, I'll make popcorn on the stove, and we will watch a few movies. It's just a nice cosy time for us since we don't have enough time to fly back to MN.
We may go out to see Harry Potter. I'm rereading book 7 and am just itching to see the movie! The boys were on a scout campout this weekend, so we haven't seen it yet. I hear that it's pretty good, but the snake scenes are horrible. I'll have to close my eyes for those scenes!

I can't stand the crowds on Black Friday!!! My sisters always go but I much rather sleep in and watch movies all day like Michelle. Stores open at un-godly hours like 4am and crazy people will wait in line sometimes the day before just to save a few bucks. I do like to go out later around 8 pm or so just to see if the pandimonium is still going on. In most cases you can find even better sales a few weeks after Black Friday. Cindy

I used to go out on black Friday. My husband and I, we really had fun. Haven't gone since we moved to Texas. Perhaps that tradition is over. There are a lot more people in this part of Texas then there was in South Carolina.
We're having company over for Thanksgiving so spending the day after cuddled up together with popcorn, movies and our fireplace sounds like a splendid idea to me.
Happy Thanksgiving everyone.

Amen, Diane! I thought I could run out to M's today on my lunch break, and pick up some Kraft paper to make my Christmas cards (gonna take the supplies to my father-in-law's and make 'em while the guys watch football). Traffic was crazy, had a hard time finding a parking space, and lines out the wazoo! Fortunately, I made it back in time, but it was close... Black Friday craziness is definitely starting early! I'm hibernating 'til Spring! Gail

All the more reason to shop online!
I did some returns at LL Bean and Coldwater Creek last Friday. I had to circle the parking lot looking for a parking spot. Sheesh!

I also got the email from LC but I don't know that I would have much use for them but maybe I'll change my mind. Is this the Black Friday release, or the Winter Wishes? I should have gotten an email from LC, since I've been on QK's mailing list for about 100 years (approximately), but I can't even get logged in on their website tonight! I've gone through the "forgot my password" (no, I didn't!), and they still haven't sent anything to my email box...
