I have updated my gypsy many times but tonight I seem to be suffering from brain fade and cannot figure out how to do it. I have connected my Gypsy to my computer and have gone to the Gypsy website. However, I cannot find anywhere where it allows me to update any new cartridges, etc. A lot of you have more experience than I do - can you tell me what I am doing wrong?
Thank you.

Tracey, I'm sorry that I can't help you. But there are several ladies here who use the gypsy. I'm sure they will check in some time over the weekend and will be happy to help.
Did you check YouTube or google? I'm sure you aren't the only one with this question.
Good luck!

Tracy,
There is a new program that they came out with. It is called Cricut Sync, it used to be called Gypsy Sync. It should show you that there is an update as soon as you plug your G in. What does it say when you do?
Hugs,
Mila

I don't get any message when I connect my Gypsy to my computer. I know there are new cartridges that are not reflected in my machine and I wanted to update to see how many there are. The Cricut Sync that is on the Gypsy updates the Cricut machine but I want to update the Gypsy. Frustrating because I have done it a dozen times and can't figure it out! Might have to call my son. That college degree in computer science sure comes in handy sometimes!

tracy i am with you it took me forever to update my gypsy... i thought you just plugged it in to your computer turned it on and the directions would appear... any how you go to cricut.com click on special offers...go to #2 register you gypsy...click on that... it is pretty self explanatory from there...although it did take me several phone calls to my girlfriend to get the job done.... be sure your gypsy is on and you touch the cricut head... it took some time for the new carts to show up on my gypsy...hope this helps you...never thought i'd be giving advice about anything on the message board especially the gypsy... katherine
