alrightie ladies - happy BLACK FRIDAY!
it's that time again - YEP - time to clear out your message board signature lines! You'll want 'em empty and blank, oh yes you will!
If you need a refresher course on how to clean out {or add to} your signature line {aka "siggy line"}...
1 - sign in to your SL message board account
2 - along the very top of the window are a row of icons {home, new topics, help, search, members, profile and logout}. Click on the PROFILE icon.
3 - you will see a new window, with a yellow boarder that shows your username: - right under that username is a row of words {member's bio - modify profile - bookmarks - social networks} click on MODIFY PROFILE
4 - you now have a new window with lots of fill-in-the-blanks. You want to scroll down to the PERSONAL INFORMATION
5 - the personal information is where you can add your location, an avatar {picture}, personal text {which is where lots of ladies are including their first names!!} and SIGNATURE.
6 - to clear out your SIGNATURE line, just delete any text you have there right now. To add to your signature line, paste in the URL {universal resource locator}, or the address, of an image you have uploaded to Photobucket.
7 - when we are doing fun blinkie weeks on the SL MB I will email you a URL. You would just copy and paste that line of text into your signature line.
There is a limit to how many characters you can have in your signature line. So if you ever can't get your string of text to COPY, the reason is probably because you've gone over that limit.
To get your siggys to line up in one single row - make sure you do not have ANY spaces or returns inbetween your strings.
And in order to get your siggy picture to show up, you always have to START the string with [ IMG ] and then the pasted string of text, and end with [ /IMG ]. HOWEVER there should be NO spaces anywhere in the string. I have to type spaces here for demonstration purposes so it will show up
So go clear out your siggy lines ladies - the fun begins next week! And you might see a few DT siggy lines clues popping up this weekend...Brrrrr - it's getting cold on the boards, don'tcha think?
