ok ladies help me decide... this is the issue.. going back to the weather lol You must thing I have nothing better to think about than weather but.... Monday night the temps in Miami will be going down to the low 30s now when I walk into my warehouse the next day the place will be frigid and it will remain frigid as there is absolutely no insulation or heating... so my grand plan is to stay nice and cozy at home but Rose is not letting me... she says the Divas need their packages shipped out and there is no reason not to work that day. Easy for her to talk as she has some stuff to do on Tuesday so she wont be coming in anyways leaving me alone in my Scrapy Igloo!! So, what should I do? I am telling you married life.....

Compromise. Stay in until lunch. You can sleep in and by noon the temps should be warmer. ;D Then go dressed in layers with fingerless gloves and plenty of hot chocolate.
After all marriage is about compromise.

After all marriage is about compromise. I agree with Dania! Go in after lunch, with lots and lots of layers, the fingerless gloves and a thermos (or two) of hot chocolate, and maybe a space heater. You'll be useless to everyone (Rose first, and then the Divas) if you catch a cold! (And yes, Dr. Gail, I know that cold weather doesn't necessarily give you a cold!)

I vote for a combination of Diane and Dania's solutions. No heat??? Ok, here is what you should do. (I'm married--I boss men around all the time!) Get up and get the kiddies some breakfast and on their way. You know that Rose is on overload with holiday cheer right now! Then get thee to a store and buy some big a@@ space heater and some fingerless gloves. Make SURE you buy a heater with a timer AND the feature that if you knock it over, it turns off by itself. There's a lot of flamable paper in that warehouse! And the timer will help if you forget to turn it off and go home or out on an errand. You don't want to wake up at 2 am in a panic, wondering if the heater is running. If there isn't a timer on it, buy a timer separately, just like you would for a lamp when you are out of town. The insulation in our house stinks and I can't shut off any rooms because of the floor plan. I'd never used space heaters until we moved here, but they make a huge difference. You only pay extra to heat the space you are in. Even if you are moving around the warehouse, you can set it up where you box everything up and then you will have a warm place to be. And when you work on the computer, you can have it on full blast. I know my small heater was only about $30. It has the tip-over shut off and the timer. I even have a bigger one in the living room that has a remote. I think that one was only about $40. You will never get through the winter without heat and you will hate going to work. And I'm not a coffee drinker, but I will heat a mug of hot water just to warm my frozen fingers. It works great as I'm sipping my diet Coke! ;D Michelle

If I was your wife I'd be telling you to suck it up, lol, but that would be easy to say if I wasn't going to share in the cold, lol. Agree with the others, go in at lunch time, temps should warm up by then. Doesn't this cold weather stink here in Florida!!!!! Vicki

Up here in Wisconsin it is 5° with a windchill of -10°. I'm still getting used to it after being in Arizona last week where it was 80°! So, because I'm enjoying staying inside I vote to give Dani a snow day! As long as it doesn't become a way of life! I too am looking forward to my new Hero Arts stamps which reminds me I better go add one more before one of my "friends" steals it out of my cart! smiles, susie

I agree with the other ladies - go in for half a day. Spend the morning looking for a space heater. We have a couple in our house and they really do warm up a room nicely. We keep one in the basement year round because it always seems cold down there and it keeps it from getting damp down there too.

Michelle Dani, I wondered how you, and the Florida Divas survived today, too. Even in "sunny" (make that rainy/drizzly) California, our weather-guy was talking about how many record-setting lows there were in Florida last night. I hope all of you are well!
