This is video that is 2 streets away from where we live. The major street behind us is closed for quite a ways. There are also some other road closures in the area. The hail is coming to my area right now. And my old hometown Highland has severe flooding. Right behind the house I grew up in is under mud and water. Please keep all of us Californian's in your prayers. This is a really bad storm. It's been 6 days of constant heavy rain. It's rather scary. We get heavy rain here but haven't seen this in years. Hope everyone is staying safe!!!!

Holy Cow - 6 days of RAIN!
I grew up in Yucaipa, and my Grandma still lives in Redlands. I know you guys aren't use to 6 days straight of rain! I now live in Northern Cal, but we're used to it. I'm glad I traveled to So Cal last weekend and not this coming weekend.
Hope you and my Grandma dry out soon.

Actually we are used to many days of rain but just not at this high rate. We've been getting 3/4 to 1.25 inches of rain in under an hour. Usually its just a nice steady light rain. But this has been down pour!
I remember a few times last year having 5 days straight of rain with maybe one day of heavy rain.
This is just one bad storm cell after another. And the mountains are getting a ton of snow.
We need the rain, but we didn't need it all in such a short time frame. lol

It's been raining pretty constantly here (about 90 miles north of Sacramento), but we've also had a bit of sun in between the rainy episodes. There hasn't been any dramatic flooding, but there ARE a few streets that have lanes flooded, because the city doesn't do a great job of keeping the gutters cleaned out (we are one of the "tree cities" in the United States, so there are a lot of leaves on the ground right now). Our home was flooded about 10 years ago, (and there's almost nothing that makes a person feel more powerless than watching water flow into the house...you can't just say "Stop!!!"), so we'll definitely keep you folks south of us in our prayers!

Not too bad here in Central California. Our main freeway was flooded on Sunday. And my roof leaked but we are ok. A few streets flooded around town.
We did get to see the blue sky and sunshine today so that is good.
