I use their pop dots, but I've never used the adhesive. I think Gail likes the adhesive, too. What do you like about it?
And did you see that there is a **PINK** heat gun? Do you think I can justify owning two heat guns?
And the Pebbles chalk. I really like that chalk--I love that there is a space to keep the little puff balls that are used and "loaded" with the chalk dust. It makes chalking so easy!

Thanks Susan!......I missed seeing the Pink Heat Gun. Between my birthday and Christmas I have managed to get the PINK ATG Tape Gun, the PINK cordless Hot Glue Gun and even the PINK I Rock Tool.... maybe the PINK Heat Gun will get to join the rest later. Cat

Oh my stars! Have you guys used the **PINK** glue gun? I love it! It's so easy to use. It's battery operated and the light comes on when you turn it on. It heats up quickly--it's so darn convenient!

I'm sorry to say I haven't yet; but I'm looking forward to using all my new tools. I've been under the weather for awhile now; so between going to work, some lite housekeeping and what little I visit here on SL MB that's about all I get done. Fingers crossed I seem on the down hill side. I'm ready to use all my goodies from Christmas and make some cards. Cat

Cat, I'm sorry that you haven't been feeling well. It's been one of those weeks for me. Sinus issues always leave me feeling all fuzzy and muddled! But things seem to be better this morning. I'll keep my fingers crossed for both of us!

It seems that there are "sniffles", etc. everywhere! DH and DD can't quite shake the last of the coughs from colds that they had 2 weeks ago. Now the orchards are starting to blossom out, so let's just throw allergies into the mess! Get well, everyone!

Pollen is terrible in FL right now. If you leave your car out over night in the morning it is covered with yellow pollen. Black cars have kind of a green tint to them with all the pollen on them. Hope everyone with allergies and sinus problems feel better soon.

Katherine, you are so far ahead of us! We still have about 18" of snow on the ground. But I do hate the yellow pollen. It never fails--I will get fooled by the nice weather and leave my windows open and get hit by the pollen. Maybe the snow isn't so bad?

Yep, that pollen is all over one of our cars, shows up so well on it, it's black. But thankfully I don't have allergy issues cause I am loving the weather! Gotta say it now cause come July/August/September I will be hating it down here, lol. Vicki

I always think of FL as opposite in weather from most of the country. When you are snowed in we are experiencing beautiful weather. When summer comes we "hibernate" in our homes because of the heat. I do the most crafting in the summer because I am inside the most during that time. If you want to visit FL now is the time. Feb., March and April are pretty much perfect.

Katherine Katherine, we lived in Las Vegas for 10 months. I kept asking why on earth anyone would live there. It was hotter than heck and no one ever went outside. He clued into your line of thinking--that in the south, people stay indoors during the summer and in the north, people stay indoors in the winter. It all evens out. But Vegas is still stinkin' hot in August. That's all I'm saying!

July and August are usually our hottest months. January and February are our coldest months....the rest of the time we never know. It's not unusual for use to have all 4 seasons in one day It's taking everyone I know who has been sick forever to get over the cough and breathing problems. Added to that I have weird alleries....I'm allergic to chemical or man made scents in soaps, air fresheners, candles and perfumes. There are some women are work who smoke then pour on the perfume to cover the smell. Between their cigarette smoke and perfume my lungs lock down. I try to avoid coming into close contact with them. But there is one who has even sprayed her perfume at my desk several different times ...since she found out it make me sick because she wants me gone. My 15 years to her 3 years is getting in her way. She is a sneaky little snout....so dealing with my weirdness and her cruelness is getting me down along with the extra meds I'm taking......my creative juices aren't working and I'm tired. It hurts to know someone wants me gone enough they are willing to make me sick..... Sorry my friends I needed to tell someone and maybe explain some of my rants/ bad attitude of late. Thank you all for your goodness and wiliness to help/ pray for strangers. It helps renew my faith in the goodness in people. I loving reading SL MB because everyone loves to tease, laugh and create while encouraging other people in their creativity. Hugs & Prayer Cat

hey Cat - my grandmother used to have the same problems as you do with smells and fragrances. It's just afwul how your co-worker is treating you - have you ever tried wearing a face mask at work?
I know it sounds a bit weird, but my gram used to do it when she had to be somewhere where it would be difficult to avoid fragrances {the airport, the mall, the movie theaters, etc.} and it worked wonders.
Maybe you showing up to work with a face mask over your mouth and nose would tell your co-workers that you are willing to do whatever it takes to stay healthy - and you know also what they are doing to you.
Then if it raises questions with higher-ups you'll have an opportunity to explain your sensitivity!!
Just a thought - I'm sorry you have to go through that. It's just terrible that women can be so crude!

Oh, Cat, that's beyond awful! I don't understand how some people can stoop so low! I have a reaction to anything vanilla-fragranced (but not the vanilla that goes in recipes, thank goodness). Fortunately I've been mostly able to avoid it, but I do understand the instinct to run away from the odor! I hope you can work out the situation in your workplace...have you talked to anyone in your Personnel Office (if you have one)? Take care...

Thank You Vicki!
Susan, thank you for telling me about your gram!!! I'm sorry to hear someone else has the same problem....yet to know there is someone else out there....makes me feel less like a freak. It also helps knowing the masks really work....DD#1 found one that has replaceable filters, but we didn't know how well a mask would work. I have all but stopped going out in public and if I do I'm so doped up with meds I really don't function very well. A mask would allow me to enjoy shopping and even go to a movie again.
Thanks again ladies!!!
Hugs & Prayers Cat

Thank you Michelle and Casunflower!!! You ladies make me really laugh out loud!!! I don't know why I waited so long..... I should have told y'all a month ago...... I needed a good dose of SL MB evil revenge /humor. It's been the very best medicine!!! I understand about the vanilla-fragrance, natural scents or oils don't choke me up....its the artificial made stuff shuts me down. Hugs & Prayers Cat

Cat hang in there don't let the turkeys get you down. You have many friends on the message board rooting for you. It is difficult to go to work everyday in an unhappy, stressful situation. It certainly can effect your health. Take care. Katherine

Cat, that @itch is just treating you terribly! I'd definitely go with the mask at work, and, if you want to, complain to your boss. Multiple chemical sensitivity is a valid medical diagnosis, and not that rare. Since she knows of your problem, and is deliberately doing things to provoke it, she is harassing you. Your boss will stand up for you, since he is the one who is legally liable for her behavior if it doesn't stop. Just want you to know that there are resources to help you with this, other than the MB evil revenge plots! Though the evil revenge would probably be a lot more fun!!! Good luck, hon!! Gail

Cat, the way you are being treated is just awful. I think you should wear the mask to work too. It would bring the issue to the surface for others who are unaware of it and hopefully end it altogether. I can relate as I developed asthma and some bad allergies a few years ago and now it seems I have a very sensitive sense of smell. My family laughs because I smell things none of them even notice. My sons cologne gets me every time - especially when he sprays it and then goes out but leaves his bedroom door open. UGH! I have to go close that door right away because it makes me gag and breathe badly and that is from downstairs.
I hope it all works out for you.
Phyllis
