Best Glue Ever--wow, that's some great stuff! I used it yesterday on a LO. It applies so nicely--just a drop if you want. And it soaked into the paper quickly, but didn't warp or wrinkle the paper. And it dried really quickly. I love it!
The only thing that you need to watch--when it's dry, it's still tacky. (That's why it works for glue dots!) So you want to make sure that it doesn't leak over the edge. But other than that, I love the stuff.
Off to check out the embellie thingy...

I couldn't watch the whole video, but it shows you how it works, didn't use it for diecut pieces but she mentions them. I think it's a cool tool~! Isn't that the same concept as the QK's tool? BUT I must add that the those little embellishments do come off the jelly with ease. With the QKs tool I have to hold the gems down. Maybe I'm using too much pressure.

But I mostly use it for dots. I have a little glue eraser tool that I use to remove glue that leaks over the edge. I think also that with this glue less if more.

Yes! Less is more. I've had a bottle for a good 6 months. A little drop will do!
And as far as the QK tool vs. the embellie thingy--I wonder if it's because the little dot of glue is grabbing the twinkle thingy and that's why it's coming off so easily. It would be interesting to compare the two.

Good morning everyone. It seems glue is a really personal thing. Everyone has their favorite. I use plain ole Scotch Quick Dry Adhesive for just about everything. It allows you a little time to move paper around if it is not quite where you want it. The tip has a small hole so you can put down just thin lines or small amounts of glue. It doesn't usually clog and best of all it is inexpensive. Recently at a Stampfest I bought something called Picksey Pick-Ups. It is a plastic container of small beeswax dots that you put on a toothpick to pick up small embellishments. Haven't tried them yet. I really dislike the QK green pen that picks up embellishments. I had the same problem as Dania nothing comes off of it. You have to use your other hand and the pointy stick to "pry" stuff off. Plus it leaves green residue on anything I pick up. Enough of a rant for today off to Saturday market to look for flowers.

Hmmm... I've never had green stuff come off of my Quick Stick. Rub off the current exposed stuff and then leave the cap off. It should dry out a bit. Maybe your's got warm? See if that helps.

I find the embellies do not want to let go from the green stuff at the end. But next time I will let the glue dry a little like in the demo. AND I too use Scotch Quick Dry Adhesive. As a matter of fact I went the other day to three different stores looking for it. . Sad thing was that one of the stores was an office supply and the other a craft store and both didn't carry it. I mostly use the Best Glue ever for glue dots. I find it works better that the Aileens tack it over and over. You can make any size dot and you can make lines too.

Thanks Michelle I'll try leaving the top off and let it dry out. As far as warm my craft room is always warm. It is over the garage with a south west exposure HOT!!! Even with heavy tint on the windows 2 fans and air conditioning it still gets pretty warm. That QK pen doesn't have a chance to ever cool off. Katherine

I to use the Best Glue Ever for glue dots. Sometimes it is a challenge to get the dot off the clear plastic (old QK package). Am I doing something wrong?

Cindy, to glue things down.
Karen, try wax paper or parchment paper. I haven't tried the glue dots yet. I can't say I use them that much. I find that over time, they don't seem to stick--they sort of sag.
Katherine, I'm envious. Fuel oil prices are through the roof. The house is now set at 60 and the bedrooms are even colder. Spring can't come fast enough. Luckily, the studio is right next to the furnace, so that's a bit warmer. I'm running errands to warm up in the car!

Karen Karen I use the paper from my xyron (left over) I lay the dot's down and when they dry I put another over it to cover them. Works like a charm.

Michelle you have all my sympathy. I hate to be cold. I never complain about the weather in FL even in the summer. After years in the North I will now never go north of Atlanta. I'm with Cindy what are using the glue dots for? Are these glue dots that you are making like glue dots that you buy in a package? Katherine

Katherine, that is exactly right. They are used just like the Mini Glue Dots to attach thinks like bittons, flowers, etc.

Thanks Katherine--I'll take your pity!
With The Best Glue Ever, you can make your own glue dots. The glue remains tacky, even after it's dry. You just put dots of glue or lines of glue on some sort of surface that is non-stick (Xyron release paper, silpat liner, wax paper, old QK packaging.) Once it's dry, you can peel them off and use them like glue dots. Easy peasy!
