Dani, funny that you should bring this up. I was just thinking that I really needed to get some albums. I agree with the others-WRMK albums and both the 12x12" refills and the other configurations. I need to get my layouts out of the storage box!

Yes please. WeRMemory Keepers and all the stuff that goes with them.I have just been stacking my pages in a pile waiting for these. I have tried to find them and have been unable to locate them. What I like about them is that you can scrap a page and then just add extra photo's in between. Please, Please. Deborah

I've never used the We R albums (can't find 'em around here), but would do so in a hot second if you carried them, Dani. Love the concept of the photo pages that fit right in with the album pages! Thanks. Gail

I bought a couple of AC 3-ring albums lately and like them a lot, so far. Those We Are Memory Keepers albums seem not to make it overseas somehow

Barbara, they aren't that common here, either. Mostly just in scrapbook stores. Probably because they are more expensive. But I find that the cheaper albums just fall apart after a while. It's better just to buy one good albumn than to deal with replacing it in a few years.

i have been a close to my heart follower since getting out of the cm mode but susan had mentioned these memory keepers before and i have looked for them our local [2.5 hrs away] store seems to carry the refills but not the albums...... do the refills fit some other albums??? i would love to say i would buy albums from dani, but i could not imagine what postage would be to canada on a couple of albums and all the refill pages then the duty...... i have a couple of k&co but only cause walmart or maybe superstore - can't remember which - had them on for like $4 as a clear out...... at the price, i wasn't concerned that the cover was not my fave!!! i am going to try the memory keepers though )

Chili, you could ask your store if they will special order the albums for you. Since they already buy the page protectors from the company, they may be willing to order them. That may help with the pricing outside the US. But we know Dani will have good prices!

I've only ever had post bound albums. Is there any disadvantages to a 3 ring album? There are more colors I like in the 3 ring.

I love the WRMK post bound albums. I tried the 3 ring binder version and replaced it. When you get your layouts in the page protectors and into the album the plastic upper hole will start to tear or streatch out from the weight, if you store them on a shelf like you would a library book. The weight of the layout starts pulling on the top hole, because there is nothing to prevent movement at the holes like in the post bound albums.
I do love WRMK refills. They seem to be heavier mil. plastic, very much in the quality of Close to My Heart page protectors. I also like the idea of purchasing pocket pages to hold pictures that you just don't want to scrap but have in the same album with your layouts.

I've only ever had post bound albums. Is there any disadvantages to a 3 ring album? There are more colors I like in the 3 ring. okay Noelle - you asked so I will give you my opinion. Emphasis on MY personal-susan-the-scrapbooker OPINION. Meaning ask 50 people get 50 different views. MY - OPINION about 3-ring albums vs post-bound albums... I personally can't stand post bounds. They drive me batty. I don't like the screws or the posts, it always seemed I needed a post-extender and didn't have the right size/brand, so I had several skinny little post bound albums because I couldn't extend them. Plus - I'm wayyyyy too impulsive to work with post bounds. I do an old page, a today page, a toddler page, a engagement page, and heritage page and I need to rearrange, flip-flop, reconfigure pages all the time. Have to unscrew the posts was a PITA. The WeR page protectors are awesome - I've beaten the heck out of them and they hold up strong. I've personally never had one rip or tear or pull off of the 3-rings. I feel like the 3-ring binder's spines are MUCH sturdier. I think I have a total of 4 post bound albums and the 2 that have post extenders seem like they have wobbly spines. when they get pulled off the shelf they feel fragile to me. Which is usually why I just kept them thin with their original 12-20 pages. I stuff my albums full - the width of the spine when you get a 3-ring binder tells you already how thick it can go. You can allow for that much space on your bookshelf - weird, I know, but I usually buy my albums far in advance so I can figure out how many I have space for. Some people don't like the 3-rings because of the "gap" in the center of the album - the space where the rings are. I don't do tons of 2-page layouts so that doesn't bother me. However I do make them - and it still doesn't bother me. I use 3-rings binders because...easy to rearrange and add or subtract pages, sturdy-sturdy-sturdy, no loose parts that I have to keep track of or find tools for, I know the size of the finished album when I add an empty album... As far as WeR 3-rings albums...LOVE the colors, love the page protectors, love the varied sizes of albums, they are worth every penny! I'm headed out the door to make sopapillas for 35 9th graders this morning, but I'll post some pictures and maybe a little tutorial video when I get home! Seriously - I've been using these since before I started working for Dani. I love them to pieces. Best albums out there hands down. As far as which style you use {3-ring or post} it's totally a personal preference/decision. These are just my opinions about the 3-rings!

The weight of the layout starts pulling on the top hole, because there is nothing to prevent movement at the holes like in the post bound albums. Interesting - I have never ever had this happen. I've been using these 3-rings binders for years. I store all of my albums upright on bookshelves and have never had an upper hole rip. Maybe your pages are heavier/bulkier than mine? But at least you found a style {post bound} that you like!

I've only ever had post bound albums. Is there any disadvantages to a 3 ring album? There are more colors I like in the 3 ring. This is just my ever-so-slightly biased opinion... Because I usually make 2-page layouts, I use post-bound albums, and because of top-loading page protectors, I don't have to scrap "in order", because the pages can be moved around if needed. (Phew! That sentence got long!) DH would tell you that I'm a little OCD about that "gap" in the middle of a 3-ring binder/2page layout. I avoid the post extender problem by going to Lowes and buying aluminum post screws in the hardware section...they come in all lengths from about 1/2" to more than 3". I tend to use the 1 1/2" or 2" posts. Since the majority of my albums are 12" x 12", this system has worked well for me. But for smaller albums, which I use for 1-page layouts, the WeR albums are tops!

Thanks, Dani, for carrying these! Susan, many thanks for your input. I share the same frustrations with post-bound albums, and really want to give the 3-ring style a try. Good to hear that the WeR version has held up for you. Like you, I'm a very impulsive scrapper, and need plenty of flexibility in the order of my pages. Lately, I've just been stacking my finished pages in 12X12 boxes cause its such a pain to rearrange the post bound albums. I agree that post bounds always seem "wobbly" once extension posts get added (which I always seem to need!). A demo or tute on these would be great if you have the time! Thanks! Diane, thanks for the tip about hardware store posts... I'll get some of these to remodel my old post-bounds! Gail

I use both 3 ring and post bound albums. I have a system...
I like the look of a post bound album. I do mostly double page LOs and I just like how it looks.
But it's a pain to switch pages around and I like to scrap out of order. So I have a "working" 3 ring album where I keep the recently completed LOs. When that's full, I move them to the proper post bound album. It works out for me.
I haven't had a problem with the holes in my binders tearing or stretching. I guess my pages are relatively light! And I use white 12x12 CS behind my pages if the base page paper is thin. Maybe that helps?

I tend to do mostly 2 page lay outs so my question is--- you do a 2 page lay out with configuration pages - then when you go to do the next layout you have the back of the previous layout to deal with - what it you don't like the config page that was used?? or do you use 2 new pages for every lay out and not worry about the backs
I am a chronological scrapper and I have a hard time doing pages because I have to go in order - I am hoping to break my self of this habit in order to get more done and I was thinking the these pages sounded like the answer since I could re order them if needed - the 12x12 sound easy enough to deal with but I am wondering about using the config pages also
Any guidence is appreciated
-Diane

That said, I make a Christmas journal every year (only 1 page for each day from Dec. 1st - Jan. 6th), and since I use the same cardstock as the background for every for every page, I use a single piece for both sides of each 2 pages (e.g., pp. 2/3, 4/5, etc.), thus cutting down on the amount of CS that I use. While using 2 new pieces of CS/other background paper for every 2-page layout will add weight to the album, it works for me! Come over to the "dark side" and try scrapping non-chronologically...it doesn't hurt a bit! casunflower/one of the "other Dianes"

I don't consider then 1/2 of a two page layout, I consider them supporting pages for a layout{s}. For instance - I've done a bunch of pages about senior year lately. Left page - senior homecoming scrapped right page - senior marching band state competition scrapped {back left open for now} {insert new pocket page} left page - 4x6 pocket page containing support pictures for homecoming and band right page - band portrait page scrapped left page - senior FFA speed competition scrapped right page - 4x6 pocket page containing support pictures of random FFA events left page - back of 4x6 pocket page with MORE supporting pictures of FFA/state officer degree/etc. that empty 4x6 pocket page {the backside remains to be filled} will surely get filled. I've still got pictures to print, I've got bunches of random odds-n-ends pictures, that at any time I could go back and stick in those pocket pages. More than likely though - I'll tuck in a report card, a name badge, ticket stubs, random journaling on 4x6 pieces of cardstock, etc. But USUALLY from an event that has lots of pictures it'll go together like this... left page - baccalaureate center page - 4x6 pockets with gobs of supporting pictures front and backs right page - graduation page think of the pocket/configuration page as the MIDDLE of the left and right page. does that make sense? I just love the pocket pages...I get so many more pictures in my albums, stored and recorded and journaled about...not all of them are scrap worthy or just don't warrant a page. But I want to know where they are. So I use them lots!

Dani, we need to do another WRMK order!
I just got my order with the albums and refills. Good Gravy, these are great albums! They feel so rich and I love how the corners have little metal corner protectors. I love them!
I did order a bunch of the page protectors with all the different divisions. In fact, I made a page last night out of one of the divided page protectors. Love it! But Dani, we need to do another order. I totally forgot to order regular old 12" x 12" protectors! So my LOs are still sitting in a box. The album came with a few, but not nearly enough!
Can we do another order soon? Pretty please? (insert blinkie on her knees, hands clasped and begging!)

I'm with you, Michelle. The box with albums arrived just before we went out the door - but of course I HAD to open it, it was from Scrapyland! The albums are gorgeous - I almost can't wait to get home from vacation to use them... ;D Do need more 12x12 inserts, though - I have a jillion pages (well, maybe that's an exaggeration ) that are waiting to be put in albums. Dani - another order please?? With 12x12 inserts and more albums?? Gail
