Great words, Cat - I need a bumper sticker that says: "Life happens. Live it!" Gail Great idea, Gail. I could put a few around my house and work to remind when things begin to get to me. LOL Cat

vinyl sticks to cars very nicely!! I cut QK letters from it and stuck it to the back of my Tahoe with our store info. It has been over a year now and it is still perfect Cindy

For sure Gail the Silhouette vinyl will work! We know Susan had the band one on the car a long time. And Cindy just said hers has lasted.

you're not being a pest Cindy - it's my fault! Gail is waiting on ME! I knew I shouldn't have done this....there just aren't enough hours in the day for me to sit and do them - not when I have October, November and December dies sitting in front of me. Tell you what - I'm just going to totally cheat and do my recipe pages digitally...it's a cop-out, but it will get them done. Then I can stick them in the mail to Gail tomorrow or Friday and you girls can get your books that Gail has worked so hard on! FAIR?? I'm so sorry - if I ever EVER hint at another swap like this - remind me that I SUCK at it! My intentions are so good, but I procrastinate...and then LIFE and WORK take over! deal??? I'll email Gail and let her know...

Susan don't beat yourself up.....Life Happen (especially for college Mom's...... wait a minute..... maybe I should just say Moms' period....I wish I could count the times my girls needed a new dress made at the last minute. Whew! (of course my plans flew out the window) If you want/need to make digital pages go for it.......I don't mind...sometimes we just can't work things out......besides I think we are all understanding friends here. (I' ll tell you my little secret ....but don't tell anybody else.....Truth is I didn't get everything done on my pages I planned and Christy helped me finish them up...but it's our little secret OK) Cat

Actually, I'm interested to see how a digital page looks printed. I think there's room in this craft for all sorts of media. Go for it and don't apologize!

Ehh, digital vs not...it's the creativity behind the page that counts! After all, who among us has not been stretched thin at times. I'm not even a mom and I find myself wondering why there can't be more hours in a day. We will all be glad you still got to participate and will eagerly anticipate the arrival of our books whenever they go out. Hang in there, Susan. This, too, shall pass! Christy

I want to see digital pages, too! Especially where I can actually touch them! (The only other digital pages I've seen have been in magazines, and it's just not the same!)

well - while I will never EVER EVER EVER go full-time digital - I do admit to doing digital elements {photo collages, layered mats, etc.} and then printing them out and using them on a "real" page. I like that look and it makes part of the process go a bit faster! Photo collages ROCK my world - and I consider that digital as well! BUT I just realized I made a big goof - LOL - not big big, but silly big. I wrote a little sentiment on the back side of each page and I realized last night that I signed the back corner that is going to get punched for binding. LOL!!!! Oh well - I'm sure part of it will still be visible! I'm a big dork!! I can't WAIT to see the finished product - Gail you're a rock star in my book. Maybe we should do a blog post and share the awesomeness with the world? thanks everyone for giving me a pass...and for letting me cheat a little bit!

Susan, if you're a dork (and I'm not saying that you are!), then so am I! I didn't see that the word "cup" was missing in the measurements on one of my recipes until everything had been assembled and glued down! So that word got added in ink. And don't these small errors add value to the items and make them more "collectible"?

Absolutely, Diane!! Those small touches prove they're hand made, with love! Susan, you should do a Blog post on this book and these pages. When you see what these ladies turned out, your jaw will drop!! And the recipes sound yummy, too! Gail

Well, in spite of Gail very specifically telling us not to glue any embellies on the left 1" side of the page, I did it anyway on a few pages before I remembered.
Like Diane said, it just makes them more collectible!
