Susan, you know EVERYONE! And Gail, I like your ranking! HAHAHA - oh trust me, not everyone! {Right now my daughter would really like for me to tell her that I know the marching band director at her college...but I keep reassuring her I DO NOT!! HAHA} However, I have known Stacey Caron for several years! Back when I used to work/teach for QK we used to end up on flights home to Phoenix after conventions quite often. She's leaving for CHA tomorrow and I was so tickled that she let me squeeze some time out of her day today - only to have my mind BLOWN!! GOOD STUFF for sure, really good stuff!!! Just finished editing pictures...will post them after I make the boy some dinner...HAHA!! oh - and if anyone in Diva-dom DOES know the marching band director...I might be willing to swap you some dies for a good word...HAHAHAHA!!

Susan, your DD is so talented, she doesn't need a "in." Her talents will speak for themselves. They would be fools not to accept her.

...oh - and if anyone in Diva-dom DOES know the marching band director...I might be willing to swap you some dies for a good word...HAHAHAHA!! I know a marching band director...just not that marching band director! Does that count? (Probably not! ) And Michelle is right...your DD has been playing long enough, and is talented enough that they'd better accept her (or that director will have a bunch of frowny Divas to deal with!)

from you typing finger tips to God's ear!
With our move into the Big 10 this next year the competition is HUGE! There are 295 spots in the marching band...rumor has it almost 500 submitted musical tryouts. 400 we are expecting at marching tryouts!
YIKES!!!!

Won't that make it all the sweeter when she gets in??? BTW I was trying not to be interested in these dies, but I made the mistake of taking a closer look! WoW! I love the versatility! And I bet I can extend the length of the cut by lining it up and passing it through again to get a full 12 inches when needed. (I currently do that with the QK edges and I love the results!) Thanks for the enabling! ---MB

MB that is EXACTLY how you do it! the dies are all 8" long and ALL have an exactly 1" repeating pattern on the CUTTING EDGE. Love that they did this... makes it super easy to space the edge along an envelope or a photograph - it's almost a ruler...AND now you can use scallops on the bottom and ric rac on the top - and technically they LINE UP! Super easy to line up with the STT {scotch tape trick} too!!! These are going to be really popular, the videos show just how many different looks you can get by layering, multi-passing and stacking the HOLES with the EDGES...it's going to be insane!!!

I love versatility, and these edgabilities have it in spades! I've already ordered two sets, and I'm betting they'll ALL be in my cart by the time the shipping date arrives... I haven't even looked at your blog post yet, Susan, and I can feel another order coming on! Gail
