Now these are some flip-flops that you can justify paying more for. Arch-supports and cute too. If these old feet weren't so messed up.....these WOULD come to my house. Cat

I text hubby across the house, lol, and told him I was going to preorder my birthday present and it wouldn't be in till September. He said okay. That was easy (and no, I did not share with him how much it was, he can see that when the card is charged in SEPTEMBER, lol). Vicki

I've had plantar fasciitis for three years in both feet. Pretty sure there's a heel spur or two brewing in there too. Waiting for insurance to kick in so I can do more for it. I've tried a lot of things and its just getting worse! Maybe it's a scrapbooking thing....

Ugh. This is a horrible club to belong to! And yes Cat, Keen's and Clark's are some of my favorites! I also wear Privo, Merrell and a lot of Born and sneak in a few others that feel very supportive. I have a pair of Rockport sandals/flip flops. Technically, I guess they are flip flops, but they are leather so they look more like sandals. I have them in 3 colors (one pink!) and they have great arch support. I'll have to check out the Chaco flip flops. And I was just at REI yesterday (I see that they sell them.)
In fact, after my diabetes diagnosis, the dietician I was seeing took one look at my cute little flats (that had good arch support!) and told me that all I could ever wear again was athletic shoes. Then she went on to say, "Don't worry, they come in different colors." She was a wench in other ways and I never went back to her. Tell me to wear good shoes, tell me to always wear shoes, but don't tell me that the only good shoes out there are athletic shoes!

Glad you like your Chaco's, Susan! I was introduced to them at Sound Feet Shoes in the Outer Banks. When I first saw the price, I went "$50 for a pair of flip-flops???!!!" But I so love wearing them, and my (yes) plantar fasciitis and Morton's neuroma, just wouldn't let me do it. Long story short, I tried them on and fell in love. They remain the only shoes I can wear that NEVER aggravate my feet. I now have them in blue, brown, black, green, and purple! They wear like iron, too. My first pair was 5yrs ago, and they still look new. Cat, I think you'd have Happy Feet if you gave them a try! (And no, I don't get kickbacks from the company for saying this!!!)

Oh, and I forgot to mention Ecco brand shoes. I can't exactly wear my Crocs everywhere, and I've had a great experience with Ecco shoes. They're not cheap (usually around $100), but they last forever. They were a recommendation from my podiatrist, who also has plantar fasciitis. It's probably a good thing that I'm not an obsessed shoe collector, although when I was first diagnosed with p.f., I did try a few different brands before I found anything that I could wear for more than a few hours. I haven't owned a pair of high heels in very long time...thank goodness I'm tall! **Wasn't this thread originally about the new Spellbinders?

Gail, I may have to let my daddy take me shoe shopping when I go home this week and "let" him buy his 30 year old daughter some Chacos lol. I would love something that doesn't kill my heels!
