Well for me it depends on what Im doing (what kind of craft). I like to use my Hermafix roller for layouts and cards but use glue dots for embellishments that have no adhesive and cant go through my Little X (xyron). For my qk dies and alphas I use my Xyron. For the paper bag album I am working on I am using hermafix tabs and Terrific Tacky Tape (redline tape) because that stuff is industrual strength and holds up very well. So for me its Hermafix, Xyron, Glue Dots, and Redline Tape. =)

Scor-Tape all sizes GlueGliderPro permanent & re-positionable Zig glue pens....(skinny pen tipped ones only) Xyron 4" Permanent Adhesive Runner (cheetah ? I think it called) Xyron sticker maker Scotch removeable tape These are some of my favorite and most used adhesives. There are other Xyron products I like and some I want to try but haven't yet. Cat

Yep, it depends on what I'm doing.
In my adhesiver drawer, I have:
-My ATG for most paper to paper uses -Tombo when I just want a small applicator (and I adhere my photos to a LO with this) -Tombo repositionable for stuff I need to remove or move around. -ScorTape when I really want something to stick, rather than the red tape because I can tear the ScorTape. But I have red tape, too -The Best Glue Ever for wet applications, unless not all the glue will get covered up because the glue stays tacky -Tacky Glue for the rest of the wet applications -Glossy Accents for effects and metal that needs to be glued down -American Crafts pop dots-round and white -Scrapbook Adhesives pop dots-square and black -Glue Dots brand of glue dots because the packaging is in a flat zip bag, rather than a box (easier to store) -Zig Squeeze for QK fonts and dies -Quickie Glue pens for the super fine fonts & QK dies -Scotch Removable tape for positioning fonts and fiddly bits for dies -Imaginesce cordless glue gun (it's **PINK**!) but I do use it! -Xyron for some QK, but mostly I use it when I really, really need a die to be completely adhered or I'm glittering. I have both the little "X" and the larger 510 machines -Elmers glue if I need to water something down, modge podge, or just need a cheap glue
I'm not sure that helped! But I use lots of different adhesives, depending on what I'm working on. The drawer is right next to my chair--I use a variety that often.
And if you are thinking of adding to the inventory, I would LOVE it if you would carry the Quickie Glue Pens by Sakura. They write a super fine line, perfect for fonts and smaller pieces. I must go through at least one a month. And the big box stores don't sell it.

I always love seeing everyone's take on adhesive! SO VARIED!! ATG gun for layouts and cards Zig glue pens for fonts and die-cut assembly glue-dots for buttons and flowers AC pop-dots on cards Best Glue Ever for assembly of weird dimensional stuff or ribbons Scor-Tape for anything that is going to be 3D and handled!! that's about it for me!!! I threw my Xyron X machine away ages ago. I have a case of the Sakura Quickie Glue pens but they don't hold anything here in AZ. Adhesive opinions are varied and usually rather strong! LOL - take my ATG away from me and you'll have a fight on your hands. If my Zig runs out I just won't scrap! No substitute - no way, no how!

I have to agree w/ the Ladies. I use various adhesives as well, depending on the project. ATG for LO's and cards PVA PH Neutral (Not a re-positional glue, once it's down it's down!) Scotch double sided take Memory Book Glue Dots 3D foam squares Scrapbook Adhesives by 3L This pretty much does it for me. ;D I still have my Xyron but never use it. I need to get rid of it!

Guess I'm the outlier here!! XYRON for all my layout work, and most cards. I run paper through, then die-cut it, peel off the backing and stick. This works great for most everything, but especially for fonts! It saves me oodles of time. I have the 9 inch and 5 inch versions (the 5 inch travels well), and use the 1.5 inch primarily to adhere ribbon. Scor-tape for dimensional work or anything that will get a real workout. ATG gun for adhering photos, and anything I don't run through the Xyron. 3M foam mounting tape for dimension. I like it cause it's thinner than pop-dots, and you can use multiple layers to vary the height. When you buy the gigunda roll at the hardware store, it's also fairly cheap! For hard to stick items, like Prima flowers, gems, metal embellies, you can't beat glue dots or Thermo-Web Zots. I used to use glue dots, but switched over to Zots, cause the sizes work better for me... Hate to admit it, but I hardly ever use liquid adhesive. I do use glue sticks on occasion, and the one that really works is Thermo-Web's SuperStik! I couldn't work at all without 3M removable magic tape! That's it for me!! I know many feel the Xyron refills are expensive - they are! That's what 40% off coupons are for! Also for me, since my time to scrap is limited (whose isn't??), the time saved is well worth the price.

And I didn't even list the different size tapes that I have, and the 3M foam tape that Gail mentioned. I thought my list was long enough!

The Best Glue Ever - I have never heard of that. Is it liquid or sticky? Who's it by? And the Quickie Pen doesnt hold up here in Cali either. I bought one (lss's sell it here but the big box stores dont) at my lss for the intricate qk die we used one night at Club because it was too big for my Little X and it did.not.stick. Thank goodness the lady next to me shared her liquid glue. =) Oh and Martha Stewarts Glitter Glue is awesome for embellishments! Super strong. Oh oh oh and the best glitter adhesive? Litte X! I run my QK dies through it wrong side up so the top gets the adhesive, peel it off, and glitter. Then run it through the right way so it can be stuck down. The glitter sticks and does not fall off. (sorry for the long paragraph on my phone and cant do enter for a new line)

Lorie Ann! It hasn't occured to me to use that for applying glitter! I have all the xyrons because I demo'd them in my store often, and I use the baby one for sticking down the small alphas and other die cuts, but I just had a DUH moment when you mentioned using it for sticking the glitter. Thanks for mentioning that

Oh and the best technique I have found for flock - use dimensional adhesive (like glossy accents and the like where it stays up and puffy when dry). When its sticky but not wet, sprinkle on the flock and allow to finish drying. You'll have a nice off the paper flock fuzzy effect. I notice if you flock when wet it flattens down. This way you get some nice dimension to your snowman or dog or whatever you flocked.

(sorry for the long paragraph on my phone and cant do enter for a new line) I just did this for a DT project for the new exclusives. Maybe Susan will put it up this week. It is BY FAR the easiest, neatest, least messy way to glitter that I know of. It hold the glitter tight and it doesn't keep flaking off. Love it! The Best Glue Ever is the glue that we talked about a while back that you use to make your own glue dots. It's liquid and stays tacky even when it's dry. I love it because it has a fine tip so that I can control the amount of glue I'm using or if I want to use a line of glue without getting it all over the place. I use it for adhering ribbon because it makes such a fine line. And it doesn't soak through ribbon or paper. It's a great glue! www.scrapyland.com/Best_Glue_Ever_p/bge.htm

I'm simple with adhesives....and truthfully haven't ventured out much to even discover other adhesives!! -Herma dotto for layouts, cards, etc. -Zig glue pens and removable Scotch Tape for my dies/alphas, etc. Not much else. I need to find out what an ATG gun is....it sounds popular. Pam

These are my most-reach-for adhesives, and I hardly ever use anything else worth mentioning: Scor-Tape...in every width (and it holds ribbon very well!) Best Glue Ever (I learned about this right here on the MB, and I'll never use any other glue now!) Zig Pen for most fonts The little X for letters and small die cuts...for certain textures where the Zig Pen doesn't hold. The pink, cordless ( ) glue gun Scotch removable tape, especially for lining up letters before they're glued down on the project...also a tip from Susan - KOTB And...Glue Dots (almost forgot these! )

I agree Xyron refills are expensive ( I use coupons) but it works really well in this part of the country. You get a really tight hold when adding paper to chipboard. I love Xyron for a lot things I do. I one of those people who is always trying to stick unusally things together......so I used all kinds of adhesives over the years from sprays, tapes (even duct tape) and almost every liquid glue made. I do use Best Glue Ever (learned about it here and got it from SL)and I have the pink cordless hot glue gun (also from SL); but haven't used them a much as the other adesives I listed earlier. Cat

Xyron- I use the little one for ribbon and the 5" one for larger paper etc
Zig- almost everything die cut
Scotch Quick Drying Tacky Glue- I just discovered this one and it works well. We made 50 shower invites with it and so far so good.
Scotch Clear Glue with 2-way applicator- works nice for ribbon and trims. It does not show through
Scrappy Glue- for buttons, and metal embellishes

My reach for 90% of the time is my ATG 1/4" Zig pen for fonts instead of the Quickie pen 3M foam on the large roll for my pop dots. I prefer to buy this on the large roll as I have flexibility and it it more cost effective (really wish you carried this) Sookwang (Scor-tape) all sizes- but the four smallest sizes the most.I dislike the red tape. I use Glue dots. I haven't ever tried Zots Liquid glue Zip Dry(but not fond of the smell), 3M liquid adhesive, bEst glue ever, the ultimate glue. Of course Scotch removable tape Glossy accents I haven't used my Xyron for 5+ years (it's still in a drawer)
I think that is it. Karen

Like most every one else, depends on what I am doing. I take a lot of classes at Archiver's and have gotten to use all kinds of different adhesives without committing to buying them first. I recently picked up the Xyron Mega Runner from A's during a sale and I like it. The refills are expensive there though. I use it for larger, flat paper to paper type applications. I've used mom's little pink thing she got from Dani as well and like it well enough. I just never think about ordering one in the flurry of new releases--sometimes I think shopping at SL is a contact sport when it comes to Dani's great sales, etc!! I love Tombow for smaller paper to paper applications. For heavier, slick or dimensional items, I use Glue Dots if a dry adhesive is needed. Red line tape is a must have for bigger applications than would be practical for Glue Dots. Although, I recently tried mom's Scor-tape and loved it, too. Either will do for me. I love pop dots of different thicknesses and am not loyal to any brand--I get what ever is on sale. What I have not found however, is the black pop dots. A's uses the black ones for all kinds of demos but do not seem to actually sell them. For wet adhesives I use the Quickie Glue Pen, Scotch Quick-Dry Adhesive, Crafter's Pick The Ultimate!, and Elmer's Craft Bond. I like the QGP for applying glitter & flocking to small or irregular areas. I have not tried it for fonts. I like the small tip on the Scotch quick-dry for fonts and a variety of other things. The Elmer's will work as a backup in a pinch. The Ultimate! is terrific for those times I need a quick drying, super strong, clear drying glue. For instance, making rosettes, quilling and making 3D flowers with the newish McGill punches. I think it dries a little slower than the Scotch quick-dry but it is super thick and holds all sorts of things pretty quickly. I have wanted to try the Best Glue Ever, but it seems I'm usually too slow or I forget (or more recently, Fedex apparently lost the package ). Wow, that's a lot of options, but it looks like I'm in pretty good company here!! Christy

I am so glad I am not the only one who threw my xyron x machine ages ago. When I did that you would have thought I had asked some of my friends to commit a crime the screamed so loud. Like Michelle I use ATG and Zig pens mostly. I also use score tape, red liner tape and zip dry for different applications. I use the Sakura glue pens once in a while, but like Susan most of the time the glue just doesn't work for me either. I wonder if it is the weather here.

Hmmm... Now I'm wondering about that Quickie pen!
I've only lived on the East Coast for the last 6 years, and I know I didn't use the pen before that.
It's usually fine here. It dries quickly, so sometimes if I'm doing a long title or a large die cut, I'll go back over the first area before I put everything down. Do you think the letters will loosen up later? I've used this pen A LOT!

Funny how we all use so many different types but yet use so many of the same.
For me
Glue Dots (great for adhereing flowers, ribbon, etc) Pop Dots in various thicknesses (great for cards) ATG when it just has to hold Heramfix (very $ but yes still one of my go to adhesives) Elmer's Glide on Tape (very cheap, and works great..ultimately to replace my hermafix) Fabric Tac (Great for ribbon) Diamond Glaze (for everything else that must hold) Xyron (great for fonts, diecuts, etc)
