Oh, Susan, what a lovely yellow mess!! One of my very best friends needs to see that post! Like me, she is an engineer and recovering perfectionist. I work on her a little bit every time we paint or scrap together but I haven't made much progress. She recently had her first baby though, so I think there is hope for her yet!

"recovering perfectionist" tons of improvement on your condition but "recovering"...... DD I think that might be a slight stretch But it may be as good as it gets with an inherited condition like being a perfectionist Mama Cat

You will have to tell us what the reaction to the card was!

Awwww, Susan...the card is simply unique! And, having "been there, done that," I can promise you that it's way more likely to experience the unexpected if one is wearing white! No one ever told me that I should a protective apron when I'm playing with paints, etc., or to wear goggles if I'm working with glitter (I do, actually...it only took one piece of glitter in my eye and a mild scratch on a cornea to convince me).

I did this with my Viva Decor, too. Luckily, my clog wasn't as bad, but what a mess! And you did such a nice job on your card. So cute!
And Diane, a glitter scratch! Who knew paper crafting could be so hazzardous!

oh I"m a perfectionist about some things...parties, speeches, class preparation, invitations, etc. But things like this - no biggie.
I will admit I was momentarily furious - because I know I should test drop on a scrap first. But I had just used the Sunny Yellow a day or two before so I was sure I didn't need to.
UGh - I laughed, and I admit I wasn't going to show anyone. I was just going to mail it. But then I decided it might make someone realized that perfection is highly overrated. My sneaking hunch is that the person this is going to isn't even going to notice! LOL We're our own worst critics!

LOL We're our own worst critics! Susan, I agree! It seem every tiny mistake or blunder on my stuff screams at me. "I'm here! Look at me! LOOK AT ME! On the brighter side people here on ScrapyLand message board; you and your blog along the design teams and some of the other ladies have helped me realize being a perfectionist takes the fun out of scrapping and sometimes we discover really cool stuff when we mess up. Susan, this is an adorable card! I'm SO sorry this happened to it and your shirt. I was trying to put a positive spin on things, to explain the splat... The yellow haze looks like one of two things to me: A splash of sunshine OR The little guy peed in the pool!!! Gail
