Sorry! Reading for comprehension--a great skill to have!
Good luck finding the font. I have the grand and love it!

Aren't the letters on the 4x8 set the same size as the classic font?

Aren't the letters on the 4x8 set the same size as the classic font? On my 4x8 set, there are 8 dies ( ...I think...I didn't go look to make sure), and the letters are gi-normo! Mine was a limited edition set when it came out a couple of years ago, and the dies are sort of gold-ish in color. Okay, I stand corrected (by me! ;D)...I just looked at Michelle's link, and there are 7 dies in the "Collectors" set.

I just measured my Zelda Grand letters. The caps are about 2 1/8", lower case letters are about an inch smaller. Sadly, I don't have the Classic size to compare.
That is such a fun font!

Diane is right - Zelda Grand is GINORMOUS! I think it is one of the tallest fonts QK ever did. It's on 8 plates, like she said, and stinkin' adorable! EIGHT 4x8 plates, think about that - HUMONGOUS!!! Gail - oh Gail - she has both I am sure, I know she loves the Grand and uses it quite a bit - maybe she can measure the classic vs. the grand and report back...

Well, Miss Susan, why on earth would you think I'd have both??? Here's the scoop: Zelda Grand: UC about 2 inches, LC 7/8 (without ascenders) Zelda Classic: UC 1.25 inches, LC 5/8 inch HTH! Zelda's definitely one of my fave fonts: it's got a funky, Calypso kind of feel that works great for beachy pages. Gail

Just in case any of you need to make due until you find the metal dies in the size you need try using "Jokerman" font on your computer. I have used that for years when I needed a larger or smaller size than the dies that I have in my stash. This font came installed on my laptop and my new desktop.

Glad you're on your way to completing your Zelda Classic collection! Merry Christmas!! It takes some patience, but I've been able to accumulate several retired alphabets this way - a bit at a time! Gail
