I made some last year between Xmas and New Year's. I was in the mood, and knew time gets tight before Xmas. I ended giving them away, so I am not really ahead. Good thing that I bought some on sale after Xmas! I think tou have a good plan to get started now. Have fun!

Oddly enough, I made a stack of 25 during fall frenzy last week, haha! They are the left to right ones. I thought my husband could use those at his service counter for customers. There are always several people that give him gift cards or Christmas cards and he doesn't always have something, so I managed to think in advance this year! I will probably keep cranking them out to make sure I have enough for personal friends and family, and of course my own coworkers!

Funny you brought this us - I'm thinking of starting this weekend, if time permits... I usually make around 50, but I often make a few different designs so I don't get bored! Do you guys make them all the same, or do you vary them, too?? Gail

I've been thinking about it, but at this point, I will probably just go with my standard photo and long chatty letter. After 20 plus years in the Air Force, we have friends scattered all over the place. I love getting those letters and catching up with everyone's lives and how much the kids have all grown up. Plus, I have a one page summary of our lives for that year all journaled!

Michelle...I do the same thing. Multi photo 4x7 card with the letter. I have too many friends not local and it's fun to see others picture cards as well.

I make a variety of cards. Although after mailing thick cards for years I am going to try to be at bulkless as possible. Bought some Sizzix letterpress dies so going to try those out and see if I can't make some thinner cards.

I started doing my Christmas cards and I have 40 finished. I decided that all the cards that I have made in the past and had to save for an idea, are going in the mail with the additional cards I just made. I don't need to save all that stuff anymore.

I made some cards a few years ago and never sent them so last year I made tags instead this was fun fast and adorable on the top of the gifts!! I used all kinds of dies to decorate the QK nesting tag and I made them to match the wrapping paper. I plan on doing that again this year I might put up the Christmas decorations this week Cindy

I usually only give the cards made by me to close family & friends that live close enough not to mail them. So, around 10 cards. This year may be different now that we're married, we will probably send christmas cards to the entire family. If I have the time, I will make them but if not we will just wait until next year for a photo christmas card. I always thought it was weird to send a picture of a wedding on a christmas card, unless your wedding was in the holiday season and had a winter theme. But, in general, weddings aren't christmas related.

Typically I will make a big batch of similar cards to mail out and just crank them out assembly-line style. Then, I come up with a unique and more embellished design to sell to friends and family who place orders in October for THEM to mail out to whomever. So, I wind up with two designs but just one for personal use. Then I'm sick of that design and do something very different the next year, lol. I can't believe it's Christmas card making season already!! I gotta get started on Sawyer's 5th birthday invites too (thankfully not nearly as many).. that's in one month from today! Ack!! Card craziness is upon me!

I have 8 made so far. I tend to only give to special people I know will appreciate them. I am from Iowa and a blended family so to many cards to hand make all of them. I tend to make all other kinds of cards more than Christmas cards. Deborah

I started out just making a very special select few people handmade cards for occasions like Christmas. I felt like I needed to hear from them that they liked them and I still love walking into my mom-in-law's home to find my card sitting out for display. After a while, I realized I just wanted to keep making them! I started sending them to anyone I had an address for! Now, I make a pile for Corey to stash at work and a handful of extras for us to have on hand just in case! I'm starting to be more proactive with birthday cards (hence my birthday card exchange here) but Christmas is definitely when I do the largest amount! Of course, now that me and my two Besties (Neenah and Copic) hang out all the time, I can't find enough reasons to send cards! Can't wait to see what everyone makes for the holiday season!

I found/printed out an idea. Unfortunately, I will be cutting everything by hand though, as I don't think I have dies that would work. Luckily, I only have to make 7 cards to mail to scrappin' friends. Otherwise, I get photo cards to send to family members.

Update from me: I have 6 designs that I have my list of supplies needed. (I get tired of 1 design quickly! ). Tomorrow I pack my project bags for my weekend away. The designs range from easy to one that has multiple steps and will take most of the weekend to complete. Karen
