So it's time to indulge in all the goodies and just wondering if you could only eat 1 thing this season for the holidays, what would it be?
For me it's a tough one but I guess it would have to be Peppermint Ice Cream. I just love that stuff..guess that's why I only get it once a year or lucky for me it only comes out once a year.

I love peppermint stick ice cream, too, Leslie. Have you ever made it into a hot fudge sundae?? It's to die for that way!! BUT, if I only had one treat to eat during the holidays, it would have to be pumpkin pie (with whipped cream on top). I love it!! Gail

Oh there are sooo many things. If I had to pick just one it would have to be gingerbread cookies. Yummy!

I'd pick Grandma Horn's Candy Cane Cookies. Yum and double yum!

I'm a peppermint ice cream lover too! We used to use vanilla ice cream and crush a candy cane (that was the fun part) then pour the candy cane dust/pieces over the ice cream. I'll have to let my kids do that, they've never tried it. How'd I forget that memory??? BUT, truth be told, my favorite holiday treat is Godiva Peppermint Truffles. Pam

Like everyone else, so hard to choose! For me it would be warm Christmas pudding with my Mom's sauce on it.

I love so much. Homemade caramels used to be our big thing. This year we have discovered molds at Mike's to make our own white-chocolate covered Oreos. Oh, they disappear quick!

I love home made caramels. YUM! My sister makes real good ones. My aunt made wonderful caramels...no matter what the weather! And another aunt could make a pretty pink French nougat...even in the middle of a blizzard. Although I have both recipes, I've always had much, much better luck with the caramels!

And now, before you all start rolling your eyes... My aunt (the same one who made the wonderful French nougat) was kind enough to give me her mincemeat recipe, so I could make it for my dad. I haven't made it in years, but it always put the most incredible aroma in the house. I've even made only a fraction of the recipe once in a while, just to recapture that fragrance!

Sorry Diane, I'm not sure you can win me over on the mincemeat! But I'll bet it does smell good.
