Christmas Eve Gift, ladies! ;D My grandpa used to call us early on Christmas Eve and tell us that. Sometimes my aunt would beat him to it. The tradition says that you owe the person who says it first an early gift, but we've never really done that part! We're getting quite the Christmas Eve gift here in Texas. We usually don't get this much snow, but we've got a lot on the ground and a lot more ahead of us it seems. I hope everyone is staying warm and dry. We plan to craft and bake the day away! All Love, Michelle

Michelle, that's wonderful! We are in Minneapolis right now and there was a dusting last night, but nothing at Dad's house. Enjoy your white Christmas!

The flakes are actually quite small, but they're clustering together into fluffy bunches. It's coming thick and fast right now.

Send some of that snow to No. California! I think we'll probably get Noelle's rain in the next few days! The pictures are lovely...they remind me of my grandparents' property (years ago) in McPherson, Kansas.

It's so strange to see so much snow in Texas, while it's sunny and warmish in Wisconsin for Christmas!

It's so strange to see so much snow in Texas, while it's sunny and warmish in Wisconsin for Christmas! It IS strange! And so much of it! My sister measured with a ruler, and where it's not drifting, it's up to 10 inches!!! And still coming. Wild. Casunflower, I'd love to start sending some y'alls way! I don't think we need quite this much, lol.

Gail, Velcro (the black & white cat sitting) doesn't care for the snow much, but Driftwood (the small gray & white cat standing) loves it. He has run all over the yard and even buried his head down in it. Ladies, we get a snow like this every 10 years or so.; but rarely at Christmas. This is only the 3rd time I can remember in my 58 yrs. The year hubby and I got engaged, the year before my Dad passed and of coarse this year. My Mom says it did this when I was 2 yrs at Christmas too. Ladies, I do wish we could share the beauty with you.....although Christy's pictures Michelle posted do a pretty good job. It's a lovely floating kind of heavy wet snow without a wind to whip it around. The kids and hubby are loading the sleighs (cars) with gifts to go to grandma's house. We'll carry our part of supper for tonight out there. (Mexican stack, tacos, hot cheese sauce, salad) We'll have Mom's enchilada casserole, pinto beans and cornbread too. Tomorrow (after making another trip to Grandma's house) will be our traditional turkey and dressing, ham, cranberry salad with Mom's English pea salad. A busy weekend with every excuse they can think of to play in the snow. Have a safe and blessed weekend ladies! A very blessed Mom. and prayers! Cat
