It was the first day of school, and the teacher was enthusiastically greeting her new students. One young mother approached the teacher introducing her son as Cameron, adding that they usually called him Cammie.
The teacher asked the young boy “Well what do you want us to call you at kindergarten?” “Cammie, I guess,” he replied with a grin. “Cameron is what they call me when I get in trouble.”

Since I've only got a one-syllable name, when I was in trouble, my Mom came out with the full "Gail Suzanne Beyer" - it made me either sit up and pay attention or run and hide!!
