Hi friends,
I need the answer urgently. Please help.
Are all Lifestyle Crafts dies can cut felt? Such as Lifestyle Crafts - 4" x 4" - Kitchen, cookie cutter.
Thanks, Dina

I'm still waiting on my first batch of Scrappy Crafts felt, but the thin (about 1-2 milimeters) felt I can buy here in the stores cut fine with all the QK dies I tried, be it 2x2, 4x4 or cookie cutter, usually even without removing the foam. Hope this helps

Dina, a lot depends on the quality and fiber content of the felt you're using. Felts with a high artificial fiber content tend not to cut very well - the fibers resist the blades on the die. So I wouldn't use the felt squares from places like Michael's - I've tried, and nothing seems to cut them!! Felts with a high wool content (like the Die-Versions felt Dani carries: www.scrapyland.com/Die_Versions_Felt_s/769.htm) cut better, and should cut fine with your dies. If you have trouble, try putting a sheet of copy paper on either side of the felt and/or taking the foam off of your die. Hope this helps! Gail

I know you can use Heat N Bond with those thin felts to give them some stiffness to cut...so if you bought some and don't want to waste it any sewing supply type store (aka Joanns, Beverleys, etc) should carry it. You just iron it on and then cut away.

I've read the link. Btw, what is SoSents means? Sorry, seem like I left behind.
How about Lifestyle Crafts dies? anyone have cut felt using Lifestyle Crafts dies?
Ohya, we at malaysia always used acrylic felt because its cheaper.
Seems like I need to buy DV felt.

So Sents is short for Solo Sentiments, a line of Die Version dies. Check them out! They are wafer thin dies like Lifestyle Crafts/QK dies (same company) and cut exactly the same. You will love them! www.scrapyland.com/Die_Versions_Sentiments_s/771.htmI know the flower on that Thank You card was a QK die. If you go to the blog for January/February 2011, I did some Valentine projects with felt. It cuts nicely, but you really do want wool (or a wool blend) felt. But if all you have at home is some regular acrylic craft felt, try it. It's super cheap--if it doesn't work out, throw it away. But you can experiment with using shims, Heat N Bond, copy paper... You may find something that works for you. And yep, be sure to add some of the new Die Versions felt to your next order. You will love it!

if you use the Die-Versions felt, you won't be disappointed. I use it in my Revolution with die-versions and QK dies and even my other dies and they cut wonderfully! LOVE the die-versions felt!

I agree with everyone here- the wool blend felt cuts like a charm with the Lifestyle dies, Spellbinders, and Die Versions. It is not too expensive and comes in wonderful colors!! It feels nice too.
I have cut other felt by adding a piece of paper over the felt and then the clear cutting mat, but sometimes it still does not cut all the way through.
The wool (Die versions) felt just works so much better you will not want to use anything else. Cindy

Our felt is so amazing and high quality that I am sure QK & LC dies work like a charm. The felt didnt disappoint us when cutting our Whispers I am sure other dies with more "space" will cut wonderfully.

I cut that intricate mum looking flower from the Wildflower set out of felt. O.M.G. It was incredible. There are tons of tiny spaces in that flower and each one cut out perfectly. Perfectly!

I have to add my 2cents - Dani's felt is awesome. I myself never really cared for felt, but then I saw Susan's video on it and well felt I had to give it a try. It cuts beautifully and I see myself using felt a lot on my cards and pages. Die-Versions Felt cuts wonderfully LC dies, I cut these 2x2 flower die cut that has the foam on and not once did it not cut when I ran it thru my revolution. Great product!!!
