Hi, I just read on the blog about Lifestyle Crafts "Sweetheart". Firstly, I'm newbie to dies. Please guide/advise me ya. I have question about the 4x4 dies. It looks like the dies attached with foam. Am I right?? If I want to cut felt does it work? or I need to take out the foam... How about NEW Nesting Hearts? Are they attached with foam too..?

Dina, check out my answer to your felt question in the other thread. Yes the Lifestyle Crafts 4x4 dies are foamed, this helps the pieces fall out of the die easily. The nested shapes are generally not foamed, as they are open and the die cut comes out easily on its own. Occasionally, details (like the lace edge on the doily hearts) are foamed. Hope this answers your question! Welcome to the world of die-cutting and Scrapyland. It's SO much fun to create pages, cards, and home decor using die-cuts. Try visiting the blog and reading through the previous posts. Susan has a wealth of information to share, plenty of tips and hints, and some terrific videos there! Gail

If the felt is the thinner wool blend felt (Die Versions) it cuts just fine with the foam in the die. I have cut this felt over and over without any trouble and did not remover the foam. Cindy
