okay, well really I was just desperate, but it lead to a brilliant discovery in my ever-so-humble opinion! I needed to make a bunch of big huge glue dots - {I'm making something for CHA and I needed these suckers to be MONSTER huge}. So I grabbed my bottle of "Best Glue Ever" {favorite liquid glue on the planet Earth!} and reached for my roll of waxed paper that I keep in my craft room. {Waxed paper is what I usually lay out a line of glue dots on, in case you're wondering} Well, SHOOT, the roll is EMPTY! What to use, what to use, darn think think think...I started opening drawers and digging through my stacks of stuff looking for anything slick and non-porous that would help me dry out a bunch of big glue dots {I'm talking coaster sized!!} BRILLIANT - I opened one of the littler drawers in my Magpie storage shelves and NIRVANA!!!!! All of those 4x4 QK sticky shims were just sitting in there smiling up at me!!!! LOL I drew out a couple of big huge circles on several 4x4 shims and now I wait for them to dry...dry...dry...dry...because I need to use them right now! Not tonight - now now now! {I wonder if settting them out in the sun would ruin the glue-dotty effect? I might demo it with one, just to see!} Anyway - had to share! If you're purging anything this January - hang on to a stack of seemingly useless 4x4 sticky shims...I know you have a stack! Use them to make your own glue dots, glue lines, glue stars, glue hearts...LOL!!

Great discovery!
And good luck on the dry time. I would think arid AZ would help with that.
