Disneygirl, the Sizzix steel rule dies - the original thick ones - will cut most any weight of chipboard. I've never had a problem with them, though I've never used the extra-heavy weight chipboard. In fact, if you're going to cover the chipboard with cardstock or PP, cover the piece BEFORE you cut, that way the edges will be smooth and perfectly aligned. This is one of the advantages of the steel rule dies. The Sizzlets (thin) dies won't cut chipboard - nothing heavier than a single sheet of cardstock or PP. Hope this helps! Please share photos of your finished projects here on the MB - would love to see them! Gail

I normally use "found" chipboard, but have used the packages of 12 x12 chipboard that you can get in the craft stores. I've never found one that a Sizzix steel rule die cannot cut.
And just for the record, the QK/Lifestyle Crafts/Die-Version/Spellbinder dies will cut chipboard, but only the thinnest types like what a cereal box is made of. Just so that you know!
