Here's a few projects I was working on this week for Valentine's Day. The little bags were made from envelopes, love it! The box is the QK pizza box and the shorter square bag was made with Spellbinders scalloped squares and a MS border punch that I punched on both sides to get a handle and added an inside. I made the roses from the TH sizzix die and the carnation is 6 flat Prima flowers folded and glued together to make a puffy carnation. The other round rosette type shapes on the bags I made with strips of paper. I was having fun this week!! Phyllis

Those are adorable, Phyllis! I'll have to take a little time to play with paper strips cause I absolutely love what you did! Btw, what do you use to glue your 3d roses? I was playing with my Sizzix die I got for Christmas this week and was not happy how the flowers turned out when I used white liquid glue.

Thanks ladies! Now I have to make some cards to go with these.
Scrapatze - When I'm feeling patient I use liquid white glue or if I'm not I just use my glue gun.
Gail - to make a bag out of an envelope you seal the envelope shut - I used my ATG because you want to seal all the way and the glue on the envelope doesn't go all the way to the ends. Then you score 1" on 3 sides (the 2 long sides and 1 short side). Next, cut the other short side open straight across with scissors or your cutter, I used decorative scissors. (That's the top of the bag). Then, open the bag and at the bottom push up in the center to make the bottom flat. This will cause 2 points to form on either side. Fold those points up onto the bottom of the bag and glue them. Then push in the sides of the bag so the score goes inside. Voila!! Instant gift bag. I used 2 5x7 envelopes and one a little bigger for the bags in the pics. I hope this made sense to you.

I also made this ribbon bow using the same method as I did for the paper. Phyllis

Phyllis, that explaination makes perfect sense. I'm going to try that. And I use hot glue on my 3D flowers. I don't want to wait for liquid glue to dry. I use the Imaginisce **PINK** glue gun--love it!
