So some of you may remember I am planning a party at the end of the month (ironically it's my 50th birthday and dh is throwing the party but well you know how dh's are...so it's me planning it..LOL)
Anyhoo I have some contests with $10 gift card prizes (Name That Tune where guests put the Billboard Top Ten hits from that day in order, Price is right where they figure the cost of certain items from that year and then In the Year where they try to fill in questions about certain events)..and I have food obviously but was going to do goody bags which really would have been some tasty treat to go but my mother suggested a Pinata instead.
So I am really on the fence about this..The kid in me gets excited thinking about filling it with mini plastic bottles of booze, $2 gc to Baskin Robbins Ice Cream, Lottery Tickets and some Retro Candy...but then there is the fuddy duddy part of me that thinks about my guests and I think they will be eh..this is a lame kind of thing..and I guess that's where I need help..do you see it as something fun and get out my way there's a lottery ticket or do you see it as a I really don't care and can't be bothered to pick anything up off the ground? Mind you most of the people I have invited are close friends, family and a lot of my co-workers who all make good $$ so not sure if this is something they will think is fun or not. I do have a few kids all teenage (minus my grandbabies) but maybe 4 at most. All in all there should be about 25 people attending.
TIA

I think that sounds very fun!!! I know my energetic family would love that!! Of course everyone would want a chance to wack the pinata and some of them might destroy it in one swing!! I guess it depends on your friends/family?? Just protect the grandbabies from the line of fire Cindy

Well now anyone who wants to fly or drive 100s of miles certainly doesn't need an explicit invitation, consider it an automatic default.
BTW - All of SL divas all are more than welcome to come.

Your mom is on track! Last August, we had a birthday party for my grandson with three piñatas! The adults actually "fought" over the candy! It was hysterical! One adult actually laid on the floor to try and "cover" the candy! We are hoping to have a birthday party for my granddaughter on New Years and plan to have a special piñata for the adults this time!
