The letters or numbers all appear to be 5/8" in height, and vary in length, depending on the number of letters/numbers in the die.
For example, the 5 letters spelling "HOWDY" are 3 1/2" in length, and the cutting "extensions" on either side will create an edge of 5 3/4".
"I WISH YOU" is 5", and the extensions equal a 6" edge.
While the length of the actual words will vary, none of the extensions of the edges that I own (and I think I have all of them) are longer than 6".

sorry ladies - somehow I missed seeing this thread.
Diane is right in everything she said.
Let me just clarify a couple of things. The first 3 Express Edges were 6" wide {the blade line along the bottom} then we shortened them just a smidge on the subsequent releases become some Cuttlebug machines were just a bit too narrow to cut them along the open side of an A2 card.
So now all Express Edges bottom blades are 5 3/4". Diane is accurate the letters are 5/8" tall
thanks for jumping in and seeing this Diane - I usually hit the message board from my iPad and for some reason I don't always see the BOLD threads that have new comments.
THANKS!
