Anyone do stenciling? I have a stencil but it didn't turn out right. What is the secret to not having the paint go under the stencil?

I have mostly used my Distress inks with the stencils & I have had decent luck with the ink not going under the stencils 'cause they aren't a very wet ink. I haven't been as successful with spray inks.

You just need a few spray of mists and it should give you the effect you want. Steeler girl, paint oozes so it's really hard to use with a stencil. Inks work the best and you can paint with distress inks, just use a watercolor brush and not too heavy on the water..unless you want it to pool up and give you this look..you can see the stencil pattern in the background.
