Ok, i bought this die awhile back.. if you have it or seen it you might understand what i am talking about.. I love flower dies and OH SO wanted the Yellow Rose die. Well, to my surprise when i got it and saw ALL THE LITTLE PIECES to put this together.... SO IT SAT, I was intimidated by it. I Looked and Looked at it. I even bought some all ready made roses.. Today was the day i was gonna figure out how to put this together...... Well, i kinda cheated......after trying to match the one already made & the package picture and not really getting anywhere..Trying to make the small middle part is where its hard... Well, this is where the little light bulb came on! I remembered i also had the 2x2 rose. I thought if i used the 2x2 rose for the middle part and just build around it to finish the pretty big rose.. It came out almost PERFECT.... Still bugs me i can't figure out the middle flower part but in the mean time now i can use the little bugger.... Thought i'd share....I'm kinda excited over here ;D

I feel your pain! I purchased this die from the store who had it as an exclusive. After doing almost exactly what you did, I decided there had to be a better way, and I put this die in a "donation pile". And at least one other exclusive from the same place was just as difficult, and joined its cousin the the aforementioned pile! Thank you, Dani, for the pictures and instructions on both "Build An Animal" dies...it made all the difference!

Oh, good i'm glad i wasn't the only one stuck on this...... Once i realized that there was also a bee in the mist of all of these pieces and tried to figure out which was the bee and which was the flowers.. Well, i really wanted a rose die. I tried a rose from another company and that was just as hard. I sold that one and kept the QK Rose.... I feels great that i was able to figure something out...

Sorry you guys were disappointed, I know how that feels. You want a new toy to play with but who wants to assemble it everytime..I went through this with the gumball machine..too many pieces..way back when..LOL

HEHEHE ;D I don't mind pieces but as long as i can figure it out. This was a head scratcher..I couldn't figure out how to assemble the middle part of the rose so i used the 2x2 rose bud instead. Yellow Flower is using the 4x4 for the whole flower Pink Flower using 2x2 rose bud for inside of flower then just using the big parts to finish the rose... I'm just excited over this.... ;D Attachments:

Great job! Kind of glad I passed on that exclusive die but now I'm having envy pangs seeing what you did. Thanks for sharing & passing on your solution! Leslie/RocketCityUSA

An idea for you once you figure out how and where all the pieces go might be to use a sharpie and number the foam in the order that they go. Then the next time you put it together you do not have to try and remember the order.

Thanks Cindy for the idea.....I'm gonna do that too..... ;D

I didn't find it was too hard to assemble the die with the pieces from the die, a pain yes, but easy in knowing where the pieces fit. Maybe it's because I have assembled way more complicated dies than this one.

Thanks for posting that photo, Sarena, because at first I was kind of lost here! I guess I don't buy complex dies....haven't seen this one, but I sure do like how yours turned out! Both or your flowers are lovely! Now I'm going to look at the Build an Animal dies to see if I can get the picture!!! And hope I don't come across a complex die in my die boxes that I haven't worked with yet. I don't have a lot of patience if things are really hard to figure out. So kudos to you for sticking with it!!!

Very nice and the small rose inside is cute!
That is one of my favorite die cuts! I had purchased it from the original store as well as purchased a yellow rose die cut that was assembled to use as my sample and I was on my way.

I guess I like puzzles. I purchased that die years ago along with the other exclusives and for me they went together like a charm. Thanks for making me think about them, I guess I should use them since they have been on vacation for about 3 years.
