I live with a 42 yr old "child" who loves HSM and knows all the songs and tries to even learn the dance moves. What a sight! My 11 yr daughter is tired of it, but she humors her father. At least I've gotten a break from seeing & hearing Grease and Footloose for a while. Am I dating myself or what?!

Oh Wow!!! I can imagine. I've never seen it, really don't want to. I have a Grandson, and he loves to watch the same movies over and over when he's here. So I can certainly relate. God Bless Grandma's. Keep your chin up.

I'm so sorry! Thought you might want to be prepared for what's to come. Maybe this will brighten your night. My sis-in-law is preg w/her 3rd. The other two are 5 & 4. They watch HSM all the time. They've asked if they can name the baby either Ryan or Sharpei (not sure on the spelling). I LOL when she told me this.

He only likes movies like Grease, Saturday Night Fever, Footlose and movies from the time were movies were black & White!!! I *wish* that he like HSM or HM, but I guess that it may have 'too much color' for his taste. ;D ;D I am such a bad girl talking like that about my DH, but he is just hillarious. ;D

But what can you expect form someone who's favorite movie is The Sound of Music.. lol... oh.. And off course An Officer and A Gentleman (with a young Richard Gere.. wowwowowow)

You all are too funny! I was 10 when Grease was in the cinema. My husband loves all those movies. And the black/whites. I never saw the Sound of Music till I brought my daughter to see the play at a local theatre. Enjoyed it, but I think is was becuz there were exceptional child actors. And was amazed at their abilitites. My husband also loves all the Elvis movies. But, I lucked out and had a child who "appreciates", if that's what you want to call it, all the same type of movies and music. She's even gotten to the point, where she will not watch any remakes and will only watch the originals ie (Yours, Mine, & Ours, Willy Wonka and Choco Factory, etc).
