I was a bit upset about this at first. But after about 2 minutes I thought, the design committee and the free die is just an extra perk to the club. I knew from the moment Dani announced he was going to have a club, that I was going to join it, so whilst it would be nice to be in the top 25 (which I probably didn't make!) the other offers are still lovely to have. I guess I don't like the thought of people only joining to get the free die, buy a few things to make it worth their $30, but actually don't contribute to the board or have never been or will ever become a loyal customer of Scrapyland.  |

Exactly what I am thinking. Hey I am thinking about transferring my QK business too, but his is something I don't like. A couple of us that have been on this board from scratch now don't have a chance of ever joining that club!!!

Hey Ang, I don't mind not being on the committee. I didn't join for the free exclusive die, I just know the discounts will be great anyway. Plus, I love shopping with Dani - he is the best!  So I promise you will love shopping at Scrapyland too! |

I haven't joined the club so far as I already had joined another QK club before I heared of this one.
I'm thinking about transfering my business here too as I like the wide variety of dies to choose from and of course the rewards program. My problem is that I can't pay via Paypal. It'd be so much more hassle for me to pay via creditcard - and DH would know the exact price of my toys, likely the end of all exclusives. I think I'll make up my mind till after our vaccation in August.

Hello my European friends. You are all right, I guess I should have sent the message at a better time for everyone. It is hard to think about everything  But dont worry, I am sure it will work out. I still have about 6 people that joined and havent responded to the e-mail I sent them. I told them in the e-mail that I was going to save the spot until Monday night and if I didn't hear from them, I would give the spot to someone else so maybe you girls can still make it for this one. I wish I could just let everyone be part of it but with so many people I am sure we would never get the project done. One thing is for sure. If this one is successful I will do another die and in that one you all are for sure in there. So let us see what happens. |

Hello Ros, I wondered too how do we know who gets there? What makes you a Private Member? I don't think there are Private Members, are you referring to PM? The PM is the private message - it took me a few days to navigate myself on the PM and use some of the icons. When you click on a person's name, you can see, "send personal message". I hope this helps too. |

Barbara,
Paypal is an issue for me too - I often sell supplies I bought and don't use on ebay to raise cash for new toys....err supplies. Using the CC only reminds DH how much I'm spending on my hobby. So I plan to use money orders for future purchases with Dani. If there is a super deal or something that I know won't stay in stock, I can put it on layaway by only charging 1/3 of the cost on my CC, then mail in a money order for the balance. I know it is a bit of a hassle, but the rewards program is worth the effort IMO. I have recently spent a whole bunch of $ at other online stores, and when I think about the lost rewards it makes me sick. So that is why I'm transferring my business back here and dealing with the paypal issue. Hope this helps you with your decision!

Just a warning:
international banktransfer isn't free like within European Union, I found out recently that I have to pay about 10 euro and the one who receives the money in the US haves to pay another 10 euro ;-)
So an expensive way to get money to the US :-(
