Hi everyone!
My name's Cathy and like everyone else on here I'm an addict. I've been shopping Scrapyland since last year (a lot) and LOVE this store!! Thanks Dani for the new mb!! It took me a few weeks to jump on here but with all the excitement today over the CHA releases it seemed like the perfect time!
I'm an Army wife and we're currently stationed at Ft. Gordon, GA and I have a very soon to be 15 year old son. And one dachsie-our baby.
I've been scrappin for 4 years now and addicted to QK for about 2 years. I haven't joined a QK club yet but since I shop so much here- I will probably join this one:)
Looking forward to "meeting" everyone on here. Many of you I recognize from the other mb. I'm also known as ceejay and chattycat.
Happy Friday everyone!!

Welcome to Nicole and Cathy to Scrapy Lands Message Board!! I am looking forward to getting to know you both more.
Nicole, Angelique as you know is one special Gal who means a great deal to me. Is she really as nice and sweet in person? ;D I think that you English is wonderful. You should see my Dutch!! Wait a second I don't know any Dutch!! Congratulations on your contest win. I took a look at your pictures on Photo-bucket! You have a great deal of talent I can see why you won and came close second another time. You have great dimensional ideas!! I love Quickutz, BossKutz and would love to get into other dies.
Cathy, Looks like we have 2 addictions in common right off. Scrapbooking and Scrapy Land. The day a found Scrapy Land I was onto a great thing and have never looked back! I am so pleased you " jumped on " the MB.Everyone has something different to share so the more the merrier! I also have a son who is 15 ( and a 13 year old daughter) and we have a Piebald Dachsie ( Truffles ) who is my son's baby! ( we also have a snake, cat and lizard ). Do you have to move around a great deal with the Army? That would be hard.
Again Welcome to you both and looking forward to seeing and chatting with you on line!!
Laura. <><

Wow Laura, we do have a few things in common now don't we?
Our dachsie is a smooth red and a standard. I can't believe how many people stop us when we're out walking her and are amazed that she's a dachsie!! Guess they only ever see minis?
We were moving about every 2 years for the past 18 but hubby is retiring next year(finally) and hopefully we will stay here. The only problem is, you get used to moving all the time and actually get "the itch" to move at about the 3 year mark and now we'll be stuck!! I will miss military life quite a bit but some of it I will be glad to be done with.
Hi Angelique!

I'm Tristanznina's "Mum" as she says. Originally from Philadelphia, transplanted all over the US by the Coast Guard and courtesy of my husband. It was a wonderful and exciting life and ended in 1998 after 41 years, hence "widowlee." My son dubbed that saying, since Dad was a Southerner, then the widows in small towns became "THE WIDOW........." so I became the WidowLee. I love scrapbooking, my children, my grandchildren, and now my great grandchildren; I'm the only one left in my family who knows the names of the people in the old pictures, so scrapbooking will be my legacy to future generations. I have been a member of many clubs whose members have come and gone, however, I have to complement scrappers - they are the friendliest, and outside of Military families, they are the tightess. ;D

Hi - my name is Cheryl and I live in Minnesota. I love all my scrapbooking things, but I guess I would have to say my Quickutz are my favorite. Before I knew of QK I had bought lots of Sizzix dies, and then I found and tried QK and fell in love with them. I have so many QK that I guess it is now a collection. I also have some Bosskut dies that I like and a few Accucut dies as well. My Sizzix frames I do use and like. Those were my first die cut purchases. I forgot I also have Cuttlebug and Cuttlekid dies as well. I like the 2 step Cuttlekid dies. I have the Cuttlebug dies for the embosing. I have the old Sizzix machine, the Sidekick and the Cuttlebug.
Two of my children are grown and gone and my last baby is now a Senior in High School and I have one grand daughter who is 2 1/2 years old. Of course some of my QK collection is gone, my daughter now has it, I guess that is what happens. Now if I could only find the time to do all the things I wanted.

Welcome Cheryl,
It is nice to meet you!
I am sure with all the idea we toss around you will find some inspiration to get the things done.
I have to many QK to name and 99% of all Sizzix. I do have bosskuts and some other dies as well.
Can never have enough dies *L*
Again welcome to the board.

Thanks for the welcome.
I wish Sizzix on their new dies would have it so you could piece them together like QK. I am not good at cutting up my Sizzix dies so that I can get multi colored ones. It's just to much work and never looks as good as I want. I still use and enjoy the Sizzix ones I have, but am not sure of any new ones as I much prefer to piece togther my die cuts instead of trying to cut them up. Since you have lots of Sizzix do you feel the same way or do you have an eaiser time cutting and putting together. I love the new clown, but if I have to cut and paste on my own it will not look good.

They are not hard to put together for me. The ones that have the ridges on the edges ( the older ones)
I just sand them down to give it a clean look
If you want some clowns, let me know and I will cut you some, and the colors you want as well.

I never thought of sanding it down, I will have to experiment with that and see how it looks.

My name is Hilary and I live in Pembroke Pines about 1/2 hour away from Dani, so if you need help, let me know LOL
I work part time as an associate at the charter school where my daughter's go. I have 2 girls. Kayla 11 and Ashley 8. I've been scrapping for about 9 years, though just lately coming out of a dry spell scrapping layouts from the west carribean cruise we just went on.
I've been lurking on the board awhile now and you ladies crack me up. I figured it's about time I register and join in on the fun.
