At the risk of being exiled.....I am one of the 25

When I opened my email this morning...I always jumping for joy! But then, I thought, uh oh...
this will make alot of people unhappy. Therefore, I felt the need to post this message, because I may
as well get it out in the open:


*I didn't Join for the free exclusive die, or for the QK Exlusive die committee,because
with the amount of regular posters on this board, NEVER, EVER, EVER, EVER did I imagine that I
would be in the first 25. There were no restrictions except be the first 25 to join. So this is not
an opportunity I am going to pass up. If the tables were turned, would YOU?

I am not a regular "poster" on this board because:

1) My house is feeling ignored so I am trying to limit the amount of time I spend on the
computer. Seriously, I need to stop procrastinating on some projects because the dust bunnies
are coming out from under the furniture.

2) I usually feel ignored or an outsider because usually I am not on
when everyone else is on, "talking" to each other. I am not home during the day
and posting from work is not an option. (I know, I know...I should just post because everyone
feels ignored at some time or another.)


But that doesn't mean I am not a regular "reader"of the board. Since the board started,
I skim the board everyday, just like I do my email.


*I am not sure how much money you have to spend, or how praises you have to give to
make you a loyal Scrapyland customer, but I have been shopping here for about 2 years (maybe a little less?).
And IT IS my favorite QK retailer, for too many reasons to list. And I will continue shopping here, Quickutz
club, committee, free dies, or not.


For those overseas members...I know exactly how you feel about missing out on opportunities because of
circumstances. I feel the same way when I can't just walk in to an Archivers to get those dies that
others can get for normal price. Except, I don't think your problem is our TIME DELAY... I think you guys
have TIME RUSH...lol


Anyway....with all that said...I hope we can get past this, to come up with a wonderful die. I may not post,
(I will try to change that), but I have gotten to "know" you, and I think you are all a wonderful group of ladies.

Besides...my email is not working right now, and I don't know how to get to my PM...so I may be one of those
people that Dani doesn't hear from...and some one else may the chance to get into the committee???

Welcome! This is a great board of members! Some of met on some other boards and have corresponded and joked with each other and shared the drama in our lives.

It's an international board and not just "Miami " centered. Since Dani doesn't really have a brick and motor business, we can not drop into his store and crop Sooooo, I think this MB is unique because we enjoy the same hobby and share ideas and projects.

I do understand time commitments - I get on when I'm not fighting the computer with my daughter at home or early before or after work or at lunch time. Next week, my daughter starts classes and she has a bunch of online classes in the evenings.

Hi Maria, Again welcome. It is so nice to know more about you. I hear you when you speak of those dreaded Dust Bunnies. I have found a few Warrens of them at my place. I don't think it helps that we have a long hair dog, a cat, and my daughter has really thick long hair. I have given up on housework as a priority and since I am at home right now I like to get involved in volunteer work. Our children attend private schools way out of our area so i am busy being a car pool mom also. Must admit that I do have more time than many of these ladies to play. I make that a priority for myself. I think we all need to be a little selfish now and again not to get burned out. That I learned the hard way. So again I love you name and am so glad to know more about you. Laura. <><

Welcome Pajamafeet. Those dust bunnies are there for a reason. I hate dusting and actually just blow the dust away when I know visitors are coming. Another thing I tell people is that dust is wood preserver for my furniture. Seems to be working so far.

Have fun helping design the die! I'm actually relieved I'm not one of the 25. I stress too much about what others think of my input or lack of.
