Yes, $16.99 is ALOT for a 2x2, but don't hesitate, it will be a lot less than the E prices!!!

I bought a couple of the 2x2's but they are going back. I am sorry but 16.99 for a single cut is just way to much. I think that is like highway robery and I have decided that I have other dies I like just as much. If I return the 3 of them I can get the scarecrow and I do not have anything like him, so back they go tomorrow to A's. I think if we don't pay the high price they would charge less. They use to charge $12.99 for their 2x2 double cut exclusives and I think they are getting a bit greedy.

Although I wish they were cheaper, I think exclusive dies will always be more expensive. The Pirate ship is $19.95. So more than the A's dies. If you think, the A's exclusives are really less than the other exclusives out there!

here's something else to think about. Making things smaller isn't always 'less'. Not only are they many times harder to do, but the time involved is more, even tho the materials may be ever so slightly less. Small things usually have a higher imperfect fator as well, as in discards.
Many companies charge the same price for smaller, and many more companies charge MORE for the smaller versions.
One example I can think of right now, is swarovski crystals. There is little to NO discount for a 3mm one than a 4mm one. usually one penny difference, or same price.

but , isnt the pirate ship a larger 4x4 die? There is a Rev pirate ship, but the Store exclusive Pirate ship is a 2x2. I have both and like love the 2x2, but it is a bit of a pain to cut! |

o thank you. i'm gonna have to find a pic to look at of the smaller one. only ever noticed the 4x4 before.
I do love the pirate costume and put kids photo behind it. HAve to admit, it is getting hard to pay 16.99 or 19.99 for a die , period, no matter the size or how many parts is has. Sure starts to make delta cuts and bosskutz and all other competitors look better and better!!!

Wasn't the pirate ship a double cut? Maybe it is because the As 2x2 this time are to simple. If I am going to pay that money I want something special. I do understand why they are more and I do not mind paying a bit more if the die is special, but the 2x2 this time, except for the penguin are not really anything special. They do not even fill out the die. So to me it seems like way to much for such a tiny die cut. When A's exclusives first came out they charged normal, and the price has been steadily increasing each time it seems. So if they do another release is it going to be even more?

I didn't think A's changed their prices for the exclusives  I think I've been paying the same since the first lot were released.....? I guess I've not really noticed because I've too busy running around like a headless chicken (or at least one of my US friends are!  me more emotionally! ) trying to get my hands on them! |
