Does anyone have a QK die that drives you nuts because of the way its been designed?? Sometimes they just don't seem to think it through - great design but when they make the die........... For me its the KS0427 Rugby Ball 1 die has the basic ball shape, whilst the second has the shadow for under the laces & 1 cross lace but you need 3 crosses to make up the completed design!!! Dah!! There is oodles of space on the die for 2 more crosses - but no - you have to punch out the 2nd die 3 times - what were they thinking? Ideally, with 3 crosses on 1 die I'd punch it out twice in different shades of brown card, & punch out 2 ball shapes in a third. Swap the crosses & end up with 2 completed balls & no wasted paper!!

Loads of 2x2's!
The Rugby ball for me also, plus the Pig and Cow that come with 1 leg!
Luckily QK has wised to this already and I've noticed that the new dies are better!
The 4x4's are not so bad, I don't mind running a die through twice but preferably not more than that!

Yep, I'd agree Emma, the newer dies are getting better but you still end up pulling your hair out when you use your older ones!!

it also sort of drives me nuts when dies have pieces that come out and to get different colors you have to switch them, and then the little pieces don't stay up in their places. Like the wedding dress I just did. I didn't want the little frilly pieces at the bottom to come out, but they did, and did, and did until I placed a long piece of paper underneath to keep them in, but I don't like having to do that because that extra piece of paper is many times a very noticeable depth. Why not let us cut extra pieces to glue over 'if' we want? and let me make impressions only , embossings, of wehre to possibly put them. the embossings look just as classy sometimes.
that's what drives me nuts, tiny little pieces that won't stay in place.

The worst die is the tudor rose 2 x 2 die. It is a terrible to put together. It gave me fits. Michele

I still have 3 to sit down and glue onto a layout, just because I dread all the little pieces that need to be put where they belong! And I agree...if the animal has 4 legs, and there's room on the die, then give us all four! The newer dies ARE better at this!

Like Bernadette, I like putting them together but like others have said, if it needs more than 1 of something, put it on the dang die. Running through a die multiple times is a pain in the butt. I think the one that drives me nuts, not that I have it, is the wood plank. Just plain weird. Vicki

I was going to say the tudor rose too.. but the ones that really drove me nuts are in the nativity die set.. Cut it once for a swap and got rid of it after that... That is one disaster of a die set

That is too funny about the nativity scene die set! I almost just bought it, but I decided not to because of the faceless faces! Now after reading your comments I am so glad that I did not buy it. I love getting info from this board!

well poo. I have the nativity set, and havent tried it yet. No wonder i got it for so CHEAP! I bought it because our church always does a creche' exhibit every year and was going to make something for it out of it. Guess i might have to rethink that one , eh? Kim

I have the Nativity set and was thinking of getting rid of it. One of my friends told me that she wanted it. I think I'll give it to her!

Are you all talking about the teeny-weeny Nativity SET? I have it, thought about using it once, but then went another direction instead. I think I need to go back and see if any of the pieces could be used for anything else...hmmmmm!

I think QK should start introducing sets in the 4x4 die - a little bigger and easier to work with. I was thinking of getting the nativity set and now I won't after hearing this conversation.

Thanks about my pictures! Those are my babies! Nikki, Gussie and Grace.
