I was just on the A's Christmas Thread and I got thinking. Since my - Dangerous I know! I haven't opened my Merry and Bright yet .... but I do need them ....... Is there not a set of trees that are very similar to the A's Christmas ones in the Merry and Bright??? Can anyone help me. Much of my stuff is packed for moving. <><

I don't have a pic of the A's to compare, but the set of trees in Merry & Bright are as follows... 4 trianges with base=2 7/8", 2 1/4", 1 5/8", and 1" heights = 3 5/16", 2 5/8", 1 7/8" and 1 3/16" There are 3 squares measuring 7/8", 11/16" and 3/8" Hope that helps. I don't have an A's so I have not signed up for there newsletter---I think it is such a tease because I hate to pay postage! (Dani just makes me buy $50 worth for free shipping and that is not hard to do at all!)

I thought the same thing.
I looked at the triangles for the trees from Merry and Bright. The biggest difference is the trunk. A's is narrow and attached and Merry's is chunky. I think one could manage the fine art of cutting the cutting chunky tree trunk down to size and have basically the same thing.
It also appears there are two different dies for tree bodies. I think that one A's tree dies may be a little narrower and the other is shorter and chunkier than the triangles.
All in all I think one could make due with last years model. Unless they have the ornaments(punched out of the tree die) Then all bets are off and I have to probably go searching for the tree.
Oh well it is only money! So what if we have bread and water for a week so I can have many QK's.

laura, did i miss something? did you sell your house and you're moving? Sorry, I am moving my Crafts to my FIL Home. He is by himself and has a huge 4 bedroom house. He lives very close by and so I am moving the majority of my things to his house so I can have a nice big Craft Room. I was going to move to a room in the basement but I need natural light and lots of it. Dad is so sweet and I can come and go as I please and he doesn't mind if I take friends there. I may use the formal D/R as he doesn't use it and it has a huge bay window. Dad is 84 and so he would love having another body in the house. He feels like he is just rattling around there but loves his big very private back yard on a private street. It is very peaceful and Park Like there. He still goes out a fair bit. He like to shop for fresh food every day and is busy with his fellow retired professors for lunch each week. He sleeps for a few hours every afternoon so I will have lots of uninterrupted time. I love him so much and am so blessed to have him for my FIL. <><

I don't get free shipping even when I spend up to a small fortune, but I can't beat Dani's prices or service anywhere and have to pay shipping no matter where I shop! When you have the best why go anywhere else?? There are Pictures of the "A" dies on another post. <><

Do they give actual size or dimensions in the A's newsletter? Just wondering... That is a very nice relationship you have with your FIL, we should all be so blessed.

I was worried about my music or noise if I take friends but as he says the family room where he spends his time is 2 rooms away and even with his hearing aids on high he has trouble hearing. Plus I can use a separate entrance so he won't be bothered. He is hoping that we will move into that home when he is ready to move but it is way too much room for us and for our needs. <><
