I saw that too yesterday. It's not up on their website yet. Also heard they are not opening up preorders to "outsiders" until later. Right now they are only taking orders from club members from their store. And they only ordered 600, once gone, gone. Don't hold me to this, but I believe that's what I read. Would love to see first & if any of the animals are dups from other dies. But you know how it goes, you have to have it, if you are a QK addict!

I can hardly wait for this one. I tend to be VERY partial to realistic dies, and from what I've read, this one is realistic and awesome!

That's right...I called them yesterday. One employee started to take my pre-order, and the manager came on and said she couldn't take the order yet. They're only offering it to "locals" for a couple of weeks, and then will put it on their website for the rest of us.
Interesting...another lss owner with a message board in another state had tried to get a local to order it for her...I happened to mention this to the manager, saying that I thought if an out-of-stater could order, that it was open to all of us. The manager is now holding off on her order, too. I didn't intend to rat anyone out, but at least it levels the playing field!

I can understand making sure your local get one but come on 500 of the locals?
A's in Sterling Heights did that with the last release, they wouldn't take phone orders till the following week, so that the local could come in and get them. ( they were taking them for local, but if you wanted it shipped you had to call back).
It is in their right to do this, but when people do this sort of thing, it makes me not want to buy it no matter how cute it is.
Let see if it shows up on the big "E" before any of us have a chance to preorder.
I do not know of this store, so keep me posted.
I do not haunt other boards anylonger. SO I get my info from you guys.

ok Ladies here is what I know. I saw the exclusive in person on monday night. And to answer some of the questions here goes.
+Its beach scrapbooks that came out with the exclusive and yes its the one that did the mermaid.
+ They have held off on letting preorders so that locals can get them first. They have put a limit on what locals can get (sorry not sure if its going to be everyone after they open it up to anyone).. Locals can only order 2 (reason being they dont want them to end up on ebay).
+ Yes they have ordered 600 but they may consider reordering if there is enough interest. They did mention that it does take a bit of time to get them in stock if they do reorder.
+ they also said it should be up to preorder for non locals in a week to two weeks. They havent worked out shipping just yet so I dont know what that will be.
I think I answered most questions if you have any others let me know. I am going to the store soon and if I am allowed I will try and get a pic of the layouts the staff did and or the die.

I spoke to Jen and she told me that she is not ready to accept outside orders for about two weeks and she wanted to give her locals a chance to purchase it first. I lived in Elizabeth city NC for a few years - that should consider me a local! LOL

I can imagine adding a pearl embellishment to the clam shell as well as highlighting with stickles or cutting and layering with different papers.

Oh, I hope I can get one. It would be great for Sea World, Discovery Cove, New England Aquarium, etc. Molly - Please keep us updated. Thanks!
