I just got these and they were made in CHINA , packaging states Copyright 2008. I thought that discontinued meant 'no longer made'. When I called QK they were rather vague, said that he wasn't sure when it was discontinued, etc. I did not push, but I bought it thinking it was rare! I guess this buyer will have to be more Aware... I am disappointed, but I do still like the dies whether they are retired or not---I just probably would not have paid so much if I had known all the facts. I was just wondering if anyone knew anything about this or has had a similar experience...

The packaging (card with picture of die) has RS-0126 and RS-0127 yet the dies have C-RS-0126 (brush) and C-RS-0127 (palette). I guess the "C" is for China, huh? I wonder if the monkey and barrell and Easter basket that I just paid a small bundle on will show up like this...

Now, I need to go check out mine too. I think, if I remember right mine did come in packaging . Let me go see . . . .
Found them. Mine are still in their packaging. It's the old blue cardboard packaging. The back of the packages says Made in U.S.A. with 2002 Quickutz, Inc.
The brush has RS-0126 on the package. There is only one die with 1-1-0126 on it.
The pallet has RS-0127 on package. One die again with 1-1-0127.
Very interesting. I think if I can recall, I paid a bit for mine, but not a fortune.
Somethings not right?

It's not like I am counting on these to fund my retirement by selling them off later, but it does seem like it is a little misrepresented if QK can't decide what discontinued means... I guess I should have pushed when he said that he did not know the exact d/c date. Maybe I will follow up on Monday.

That is sooo weird. I would contact QK and ask them what their comment is on this issue... maybe these are bootleg dies... lol
