Bernandette....are you sure they are ALL made in China? My two HL exclusive dies I rec'd this week were labeled by QK made in USA....
I thought that was unusual too, but then I figured maybe the exclusvies ARE made in the US.

Happens to be the packaging file I got for DT#1, says Made in USA but the person in charge at QK told me they would be changing that to China. Maybe they forgot about it and left it as USA.

I am almost 100% sure their USA plant is closed. Can you imagine poor Chinese workers. They are working so hard and when they package the items they have to see the label saying made in USA.

Are these two new ones are made by QK? It doesn't state sepcifically so, and the other ones have the Quickutz logo with the picture. I am thinking that these two new ones are made by someone else....the style even seems non-QK And myabe that is why they are made in the USA?

That is a different story. I am not saying it is better that they are done by workers overseas, I am saying that since they are being done overseas, credit for the manufacturing should go to the overseas factory.

I have been to quite a few factories and those doing the same task 8-10 hours a day - repetitive - don't have to think. one takes a bag and the other puts the die in, the other puts the label in and the last one closes the package - I heard the MOH is increasing as the factory workers are hard to keep once they get some kind of experience and the factory owners try and keep them doing only one job - that way they only have specific training on one task.

This is a custom shape made exclusively for The Scrapping Cottage. This die is approximately 4" x 4" and is compatible with the following machines: QuicKutz Revolution, Sizzix / Ellison Big Shot, BigKick, CuttleBug, SpellBinder Wizard and Accucut Zip'eMate. 100% guarantee that this die cuts on the above machines. Adapters may be required on some machines. Made in the USA.
OK - I just read some "magic" words - This die is approximately 4" x 4" and is compatible with the following machines: QuicKutz Revolution, Sizzix / Ellison Big Shot, BigKick, CuttleBug, SpellBinder Wizard and Accucut Zip'eMate.
This is not a Quickutz manufactured die - these are made in the US - most likely by similar suppliers who made the Delta Dies or Quickutz dies previously. Remember Tinker's dies - they were made in the US too!
The dies are reasonably priced too!

I wondered also, I think they are too cutesy for QK.
I do remember reading something a while ago about QK moving their plant to China, so I am pretty sure they don't manufacture in the US any more.

If you look on their website they are also stocking Go-Kreate (a UK brand) - Go Kreate make custom dies and I sure this is made by them for this retailer.
Go Kreate also make the Tinker & Co and DaveyRay dies in the UK.
The Fawn is cute! Now I wonder if I can get this die in the UK.....?

I just woke, was getting emails & jumped right over here. You girls & Dani are so on the ball! The fawn is cute, but the owl looks a bit strange to me. It's head/eyes are too big for it's body. Besides, I already have the QK one. Think I actually may skip these! I know, Wow! But A's release is this week & Dani's exclusive is available for order this week. Need to really be wise on my choices!

OK, info so far..... Firstly, the dies aren't QK, they are indeed by Go-Kreate. They are made in the USA, but are designed & then packaged in the UK before being shipped back to USA. ........and the Scrapping Cottage will not be the only US store selling Go-Kreate in the future, but I feel I owe it to Paul and his customer to not spill the beans.......... hehehe Bernadette I've got a secret

Well. I happen to like both of them.. That fawn is just too cute. I kept wondering about the owl too. I didn't think QK would allow 2 retailers to have similar exclusives...
I think the price is very nice.
