I'm wanting to download some shapes and I'm confused.....Let me see if I can ask this so you can understand. You know how with the dies you cut and piece together. How does this work with the sil - for example if I download an Easter Egg does it cut it so I can piece together the different layers? Or am I going to get a solid shape?

You can do it both ways, ( keep in mind that I didn't look to see what the egg that you are talking about looks like) *L* If you want to just cut say the egg one color and the stripes another and the dots another. Click the egg, till the outline turns blue, then move it out of the cutting area to the left. then do that with the stripes. Cut the dot the colors you want, then delete the dots and move the stripes back in, the cutting area, cut the stripes, delete the stripes, move the egg back in and then cut the egg.... Tada!

I'm actually not going to download the egg, but those had the most layers. I don't know what I want to download.

I just learned how to do that. When you buy some of the older sil cds, they actually have directions! Another way, is to just keep cutting the whole thing with all the different colors you want. I know this is a waste of paper, but then you can make more than one egg at once & mix up all the color parts. Yes, this is what I'd been doing since there were no directions when I got mine.
