Well my four legged children are making me laugh because they want to be feed. They get crazy if you do not feed them when they think it is time to eat. My younger dog has squeezed her way through the garden fence and is now playing with a tomato...lol Wait until she decides to bite into a Jalepeno Pepper...lol
Talk to you all later.

Yes they do have their way of letting you know. Creatures of habit. That jalapeno just might break her of playing with the veggies. LOL!
I have two pups, a labrador retriever and a golden retriever. The golden is only 5 months old, and he's so funny. I'm having a blast training him. He's smart as a whip. Haven't found anything yet that he doesn't like the eat. The female lab is different - much more sophisticated. Only the best! LOL

We have 4 pets ( not including me - thought I'd add that before a certain person made a comment ) but only one is a dog. Her name is Truffles and she is a Miniature Dachshund ( she is my son's ). We used East Indian Very Very Hot Chili powder to get to stop chewing on anything but her toys. She was stubborn and her favorite chew was computer cables.
I can imagine how that Jalapeno Pepper will go down! Get that water ready and leave the door open!
I love Golden Retrievers with their beautiful coats. We have always had small dogs. If I had a large piece of land I would love to adopt Greyhounds. I just love those beauties. Laura. <><

I love dog! I have two Pogo is a Beagle Mix and Peanut is a Chihuahua. They are so much fun.
I think I am working on a zoo though. We also have a Bearded Dragon, and 5 Fish tanks.
My son has 3 tanks in his room full of tadpoles.
My husband and son just came home with another fish tank and a salamander.
Maybe I should charge admission at the door.

I also have a congo african grey parrot who tells on everything the dogs do. She's the only pet you'll have that talks back. She's a riot. She says everything, and has almost complete conversations with me. I'm the one she loves the most - so most everyone else talks to her but won't handle her.
I sure understand the cleaning, feeding and general well being of the critters. Been there - still am! LOL

They are a lot of work, but so much fun. She even tells knock knock jokes. She talks in different voices. I can tell when she's mimicking my husband. She laughs and talks like I do. She even has telephone conversations. She's a hoot!

I bet. Years ago I had a friend with an African Grey that did not like being alone and if the people would not come be with him he would say "here kitty kitty" so the cat would come sit with him. LOL

We have a very good-natured Himalayan 13-year-old cat named Mandy, who shows unconditional love to everyone. She is really my developmentally disabled daughter's cat, but when she is at work, Mandy loves to sit in my lap while I'm scrapbooking, and drool on the paper (I just know it's because she thinks the layouts are so great! ) Oh, and her favorite toy? An old wood-mounted rubber stamp!

Hi All, Between us it seems like we could open a Zoo. Collectively we have a real menagerie of pets! They can be a great deal of work ~ at our home everyone looks after their own pet. I do let the talk out and take her for a walk when my son is at school. Rather than than the other option. ;D ;D ;D Laura. <><

I always had cats. My first furbabies where brothers. Persians. They were so sweet and loving. One passed away suffering kidney failure at age 12, his brother passed away suffering the same at age 16.
I didn't have any cats for 1.5 years and they I got my new kitties, Merlin and Mystic. Brother and Sister. They are 18 months old now and full of misschief!!! But I love them

Love reading all the posts on our "other" kids. Our yorkie passed away last Sept and he LOVED eating tomatoes...he would race me to the garden to get the first ripe one on the vine ~ and won of course. Still miss him. Love all my other "kids" but he always will have a special place in my heart.

Virginia, Do they keep you busy keeping up to them? Do they need to be walked everyday? You have your hands full there. I have to admit our children have wanted them but enough is enough. Laura. <><

Laura. <>< They are in a way, easy to care for, but you have to change their water everyday (I have Red Slider Ears) otherwise their fish tank will get stinky. Another thing is that turtle under 4" are illegal in some states (Massachusetts being one) due to the turtles shedding salmonella. I found out too late, after I bought them in Chinatown on Chinese New Year's last year. They internet says that children under 4 and seniors have more risks of getting Salmonella than adults, so my daughters are not allowed to pet them.

I am giving away a whiny garbage disposal who is a chair hog. Or you can have The back seat driver, pillow hog, peaks head in shower, who has to go to the vet today because he has an infected tooth.

He is getting that tooth pulled tomorrow. I am not sure how his sister is going to do tomorrow alone all day. They have never been apart for more then an hour or 2. This will be from 730am until 530pm. She is going to be a mess. He even comes with his own wardrobe. The other is 100% nudest. She hates clothes.
Cody was my cuddle buddy this afternoon. He & I curled up and fell asleep for a little while. He is such a sweetie. He is an escape artist but a sweetie.
